Are you saying there's something wrong with the future President of the United States naming their kid after Van Halen? It's trashilicious! They even came up with their own stupid logo! Kreative and klassy!

OMG - is that birth announcement for real? That is one of the stupidest fucking things I've ever seen (along with the name). It's like whenever Sarah Palin thinks she's being clever it's always a major FAIL.

But - wouldn't the baby have shown some kind of signs of Downs at that age? The photo in the birth announcement looks like a normally developed baby; he doesn't look like he could have morphed into the current Trig to me.

He would. I'm wondering how many babies she's passed off as Trig. And why.

Makes sense, but I'm surprised Levi is intelligent enough to put it together. Or intelligent enough to listen to anyone that tries to explain it to him with small words and sock puppets.

It's not always obvious in newborns. A friend of mine had a DS baby and you really wouldn't have known. As he grew older it became slightly more noticeable but it only if you already knew he was DS.

I'd expect something like that from a teen mom who's a VH fangirl not an established politician (more or less) who considers herself presidential material.

I think the "Van Palin" thing is purely so she can keep the whole VP vibe going.

No, that's his real name (although since we'll never see the birth certificate, how would we know. . .) given to him when he was supposedly born in April 2008, before McCain talked to her about being VP.

Paxson is apparently Todd's favorite place to ride his snowmobile, and they LOVE Van Halen. Seriously. They seriously fucking named their kid after Van Halen.

I'm curious. The blog says that this ear problem doesn't fix itself on its own, but is it something that can be corrected with plastic surgery? One of my nephews had some cartilage removed from one of his ears that was a birth defect.

Would Palin have not paraded about her just operated on kid for publicity? I think if she had had something done she would have been 'cuddling' him (yeah, right) on the cover of People within days of his release from hospital.

I read somewhere that they don't do the surgery to fix the ears until the kids are older (over three, I think?).

Butt, I don't think she'd want to admit her kid had surgery because she wants people to think he's a perfect angel from God. Plus she already put his life in grave danger with her "wild ride", so why put him in even more danger with cosmetic surgery during his infancy? Even her fantards might wonder about that.

This whole Palin baby thing has all the makings of a Lifetime movie, and all that's missing are twins (one being the evil one of course)
