Plus Palin is very classy - she greets campaign heads in a bath towel lol
    Highlights: Newsweek's Special Election Project | Newsweek Politics: Campaign 2008 | Newsweek.com

At the GOP convention in St. Paul, Palin was completely unfazed by the boys' club fraternity she had just joined. One night, Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter went to her hotel room to brief her. After a minute, Palin sailed into the room wearing nothing but a towel, with another on her wet hair. She told them to chat with her laconic husband, Todd. "I'll be just a minute," she said.

Can you imagine if Michelle Obama or Jill Biden had met campaign staffers wearing just a towel or robe? The GOP supporters would have called them every kind of hussy and whore under the sun.

    What a skanky hag.

An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books.
lol that's exactly how i'd imagined it as well.

In a new 50,000 word article on the presidential campaigns that will come out tomorrow, Newsweek reports that Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) spent far more on clothing than the $150,000 reported last month. According to a preview by Politico’s Mike Allen, “McCain’s top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy“:
One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family — clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent ‘tens of thousands’ more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband.
Newsweek reports that McCain “rarely spoke to Palin during the campaign, and aides kept him in the dark about the details of her spending on clothes because they were sure he would be offended.”source
    The best:

Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost. An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books.

"Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request."
I'm guessing this is at least part of the reason Todd looked so pissed last night.

Boy, McCain-Palin was a very troubled partnership from the word "go." I think we'll see some more good dirt in the next few days. I may allow myself to wallow in the filth for a couple of days before trying to become a better person.

If thats true (which I think it is, since its been verified by Newsweek), she is ballsy beyond belief. To put the clothing on the credit cards of low-level staffers and to tell them that they'll be refunded! And not just clothing for yourself, but your whole family! The nerve of this woman is astounding. I'd like to hear her supporters defend this. She is so unethical. Especially since she tried to distance herself from the whole scandal, like it was everyone else that had dirty hands.

I can't really bring myself to say anything mean right now.. I'm just too happy that Obama won and her unqualified, sneaky self didn't weasel her way into the highest office in the land... ok, second-highest. I just hope she fades into obscurity and leaves us the hell alone.

CNN reported earlier that Fox has offered Palin her own show, same as the Huckaby format.

^^ Nooo! She isn't deserving of that.
It'd be funny if the wolves were lying in wait for her in her backyard ready to attack. LOL.
