^Uh, that would be Dairygate, as I've been saying. Federal money was involved in that. Remember the Phil Munger quote I posted: "This IRS scandal is not the same IRS scandal as the iceberg." That's 2 IRS scandals, not 1.

Does anyone have a blog I can read with an idea as to what this "scandal" could be?

Me too! And reading people on Twitter crack jokes about Palin is helping me pass the time:

Some of my favorite Tweets from #Palin
whisper1111: do you think Putin watched #palin resignation from his house?

KitsapRiver: What do you call Sarah Palin's administration today? Baked Alaska

#palin: Palin, the MJ of politics: shiny shoes, always goes places w a child, messianic complex, attacked by the media, Neverland.

Fidgeting with excitement describes my current state exactly. I cannot wait to find out what this is all about. She is the gift that keeps on giving.

Why did Bill Maher have to be off for a few weeks? And I think Olbermann's on vacation this week. They would've had a field day with Palin today.

I can't wait to see Letterman on Monday.

The news just reported and also said some think she resigned so she could focus on a Presidential run in 2012. Are they out of their minds? Yes, let's all vote for the maverick who couldn't even complete one term as Gov.

Sniff, no Daily Show or Colbert next week.

    Heating up folks:
Palin update-- CNN source: Indictment pending
Update: This just in my inbox, from a source connected sometimes to CNN:

"Here's a quote I got from law enforcement here in Alaska yesterday afternoon regarding Palin "a criminal indictment is pending authorization."

Oxdown Gazette » Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, Under Relentless Siege from Alaska’s Citizens, Announces Resignation - Updated

That's a pretty reliable if I'm not mistaken.

MSNBC is rebroadcasting her announcement. It's rambling, incoherent, whiny (REALLY whiny). She coulda said, "I'm not running again, here's the keys to the Executive PortaPotty and I'm outta here as of now."

She also said that she'd explained why she left, but she didn't. She didn't really say dick.

Chuck Todd was saying on the news that by resigning it also free's Palin up to start raking in some big money with speeches and maybe a TV/radio job. Y'know, now that she doesn't have that pesky distraction of running a state keeping her from media-whoring full-time.

Personally, I hope Palin gets a TV job at Fox News. I would watch it just for the laughs.

This is sad...I mean the fact that I'm on vacation and I've stayed off the internets almost entirely. I heard this on NPR in the car and I said to myself, damn, I've got to check out GR.

The fact that she's leaving politics (supposedly) makes me say hmmm.
