How do you people judge this fetus pain, exactly? Yet totally disregard pain experienced by actual babies, parents and children dying of abuse and disease?

Prior to 26 weeks, the thalamocortical fibers have not yet penetrated the cortical plate, and it seems unlikely the cortical structures considered necessary for pain are responding to noxious stimulation (Mrzljak, Uylings, Kostovic, & van Eden, 1988).

Because sparing him an excruciating existence wasn't enough. To really love him, they should have let him be born, watched him suffer, have their hearts broken over and over again and then watched him die.

I cannot possibly understand someone who would force a child to be born and endure indescribable pain and misery for it's very short and brutal life over some made up fairy tales or political points. I am sorry for you that you do not understand science and medicine. I'm sure your sky fairy and the great rick perry's educational policies have stunted your educational options, so I feel some pity for you. I find anyone who cares more about dividing cells than actual living/breathing human beings to be beyond pathetic, small minded and frankly inhuman and inhumane. But then again, I am also certain that you will never come back to this board to see how real living, breathing women and men show humor and compassion on all sorts of topics.

I would like to slap you silly! The odds of him feeling one minute of pain are nil, whereas after birth he would be feeling extreme pain and no way to understand why.
