It's a poll, which can be manipulated to say anything.

Try having a discussion with your 65-yo MIL about gay rights. That's fun
That's what I was thinking. Are they talking to primarily older people or younger people? Because it doesn't make sense that there would be that sharp of a change about abortion.

Maybe they polled nursing homes. I could see that.

I would love for someone to tell me that abortion is wrong , etc to my face. What fun would that be. It pisses me off, I'd love to say FUCK off. How is it okay for anyone to stick their NOSE into anyone else's business? wtf?

Republican's are always pro-life, until a mistress, housekeeper, or nanny they've been screwing comes up pregnant... I'm just saying!

That is really not true. I really think that the study was flawed from the outset for reasons i explained earlier in the post.

I'm of this new generation and I and all of my female friends are pro-choice. Some of them may be pro-life but ONLY in terms of their own personal self. They don't believe in making abortions illegal. It goes back to what I said earlier: the prevailing sentiment among my female friends is that they dont think that they personally could ever have an abortion, but they dont want to take that right away from anyone else. They firmly believe that it should be an option, but they themselves aren't sure that they would be able to have an abortion themselves.

I'm inclined to believe it's close to the "truth", but only because I think a large chunk of people are hypocrites who will readily state they are anti-choice (I'm done calling them pro-life) yet anything but when "oops" it actually happens to them.

If anything, the poll merely represents what people claim, not actual behavior. So I can see how it's bullshit when looking at it that way.

I'm mid 30's and this is pretty much the same thing for myself and friends, peers same age. Though I do have a large chunk of "friends" (acquaintances really) who are a member of the anti-choice brigade on paper. (or on bumper sticker/car tag.....blech) But I chalk that up to where I live and the socialization/mind numbing peer pressure from churchy jesusy type groups and orgs on these broads. Given 10 minutes away from their main sources of indoctrination to allow for rational thought on the matter, at least about half of those would admit that anti-choice or banning is not feasible and completely insane.

Not too shocking. With lax morals in general people look at things differently now. I'm not at all saying that I believe that homosexuality or abortion is immoral.

It does get frustrating though I have a friend who constantly had pregnancy scares had BC pills and "missed them" I suggested condoms, the shot everything. She ended up pregnant and aborting. I just think it would have been easier had she used BC effectively. Her life though.

The taxes paid by everyone in our country go towards funding abortions. As long as people's taxes are going to fund something they feel is morally wrong, they have the right to complain about it.

    Link..
ETA: That's the BS they told people to get them to say they're pro-life!! And if my taxes are paying for abortions, then fine.. I'd rather they pay for an abortion than to pay welfare to a mom who will neglect and abuse it once it is born!

Planned Parenthood is a goverment agency, paid for by taxes. Hence, tax payer funded. Taxpayer Funding of Abortion

According to wikipedia, there is also a some sort of National Agency that gives grant money, for it too.
