That would be AWESOME!! He will lose the Independent vote, and the Conservative democrat vote if he chooses that Racist nut job to be his VP!!
And I think that's what Huckabee wants..that's why he is staying in to prove to him he can pull the evangelical and southern vote for McCain!

It's funny though, I was talking to my father and for some reason he thinks that McCain might ask Joe Lebowitz to be his VP. I told him there's no way McCain is doing that. He'd have a better shot at getting the evangelical and southern vote with Huckabee.

In her blog, she said that McCain and Hillary would both have extremely liberal agendas and she doesn't want the Republican party to be held responsible for the liberal decisions she believes McCain would make.

I'm not sure how I feel about Romney dropping out. He wasn't my favorite, but I really am not crazy about McCain, who will probably get the nomination now. His position on illegal immigration really bothers me. He's very soft on illegals, even favoring special pathways for them to obtain citizenship. I want someone who isn't going to tolerate illegal immigration. I don't believe in rewarding people who break the law. Secure borders and strict immigration policies are also matters of national security, and I want a president who takes that seriously.

Well unfortunately no candidate in our lifetime is going to touch that issue in any meaningful way. It's political suicide and regardless of any politicos out there rallying against illegal immigration and fire and fury, guarantee they will back down eventually. Especially if they campaign in states with high populations of immigrants.

Don't want to be seen as racist hatemongers you see.

Especially if they campaign in states with high populations of immigrants. Do you mean Hispanic immigrants specifically, because I really cannot see immigrants from India or Russia or Viet Nam to be particulary passionate about clamping down on illegals. In fact, if I were a skilled person from India who waited years to get here i think I'd be rather upset to see others sneaking in and getting the benefit of what I'm trying to accomplish legally. I really don't get why Americans of Hispanic decsent or Hispanics who have immigrated legally from other countries like Central or South America would take the opposition to illegal immigration as a personal affront unless they are just plain stupid or unless they think they have more right to be here than any other group of people.

Who's Joe Lebowitz? My husband thinks it will be Texas governor Rick Perry, but I don't know what he's basing that on. He may just be pulling it out of his ass.

My bad, I meant Senator Joe Lieberman. I don't know where I got Lebowitz from.
