I think the Secret Service has been slipping lately. First, with the shoes being thrown at Dubya (still the highlight of his presidency), which could've easily been bullets being fired. And now with letting people bring guns to Obama rallies.

Say what you want about Bush, but that guy had wicked dodgeball skills.

Yeah, he did. Dubya almost had the electric slide going on.

A fond look back to the moment Dubya had the world laughing in unison.

Well, this publicity stunt was on CNN and they were adamant that the police knew what was going down ahead of time and gave the go-ahead to bring the gun to the event and there were loads of security around them. I love that they don't even acknowledge the fact that this will encourage other nutjobs with even worse agendas to bring guns WITHOUT giving the police the heads-up next time. Completely irresponsible and reckless.

And what kind of man needs to carry around a gun - particularly a semi-automatic rifle - 24/7 for "protection"? Do you live in THAT much fear? These asshats just get off on the sense of power it gives them, that it makes other people afraid of them.

It might depend on the state. AZ has very liberal gun laws. You don't need a license except to carry concealed.

But it's illegal to take a firearm into government buildings and some private properties have signs banning them.

When I first moved here I used to see people carrying guns but not so many anymore. Usually just cowboys (real ones not wannabes).

I think they should legally be banned around the President for obvious reasons.

Just keep watching. One of these fools will end up killing an innocent bystander. Like a grandma or disabled vet or something.

Did that Iraqi guy ever get his shoes back? Bush dodged them like he had shit thrown at him before.
