So I went ahead over to FreeRepublic (aka Right-Wing Hell) and they're so bitter and salty - I love it! Not to mention they're so eager to turn on their own, They're already saying Romney was "weak-kneed" and they're calling Chris Christie a "RINO" and "Fatfuck Traitor". Just delusional little ninnies and overgrown spoiled brats.

You do not know the sigh of relief I had when NC wasn't on the top ten list of worst educated states. And dammit we were close to being blue the other night.

I was a vegetarian for a little over 15 years. I often found that most people seemed to attack me for being a vegetarian and go into their whole rant about how we're supposed to eat meat and that's what animals are for and all animals eat animals, blah blah blah. It was sort of the reverse. I never said anything and people became militant meat eaters around me

As far as Mormons go, one of the nicest people I have ever met was a Mormon guy I worked with. Such a sweet man and he had an adorable wife and 3 or 4 kids. Super nice.

Shit's been very quiet on the FB front for me as well. My aunt has literally been posting God loves Romney bullshit for the past month. So glad for that to be over.

This! And after berating me about evolution and teeth and digestive systems they then stand back expectantly waiting for me to argue in my defence. Fuck off! I'm trying to eat my lunch so why should I get into a ridiculous argument when I don't care what you eat so stop worrying about what's on my plate.

Jon Stewart slams Fox News’ coverage of U.S. election results

Jon Stewart, host of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” slammed Fox News’ coverage of the U.S. election results on Wednesday’s episode of the Comedy Central TV show.

Fox News seemed to be having a major meltdown on election night, as Republican strategist Karl Rove questioned the network’s projection that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney had lost Ohio and that, as a result, President Barack Obama had won the 2012 presidential race.

“I think this is premature,” said Mr. Rove, an advisor to former President George W. Bush. “I don’t know what the outcome is gonna be but we gotta be careful about calling things when we have 991 votes separating the two candidates and a quarter of the vote yet to count.”

Startled by Mr. Rove’s remark, Fox News’ Megyn Kelley asked the question tat anyone who was watching the network’s coverage of the election wanted to ask.

“Is this just math that you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better?” Ms. Kelly asked Mr. Rove.

“I believe this piece of footage will, unlike us, live forever,” Mr. Stewart said in reaction to Ms. Kelly’s question. The comedian even suggested that the network replace their old slogan, “Fair and Balanced,” with this entertaining question.

The Republican strategist’s complaint sparked an unplanned interview between Ms. Kelly and several members of Fox News’ decision desk, where number crunchers were busily analyzing election results so the network could predict the outcome of races in various states.

It should be noted that Mr. Rove had a legitimate interest in seeing Mr. Romney and other Republicans do well on election night, as his super PAC, American Crossroads, spent millions of dollars on races around the country. The Sunlight Foundation says that his super PAC poured $103.5 million into the general election and saw a success rate of less than two percent.

Mr. Rover wasn’t the only target of Mr. Stewart’s musings. Bill O’Reilly, host of Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor,” also made it into the comedian’s lambasting of the network’s coverage of the U.S. election results.

“The white establishment is now the minority,” Mr. O’Reilly said on Tuesday. “It’s not a traditional America anymore. There are 50 percent of the voting public who want stuff. They want things. Who is going to give them things? President Obama.”

“What an incredible story to tell yourselves: We would have won if it weren’t for the moral failings of the non-real America,” Mr. Stewart said in reaction to Mr. O’Reilly’s comments.

The host of “The Daily Show” wasn’t the only one ripping Fox News’ coverage of the U.S. election results. In a review of the TV networks’ election night coverage, Lisa De Moraes of The Washington Post wrote that Fox News was the network to flip to “if you wanted to watch political contributor Karl Rove try to hijack a network and get it to un-declare Ohio for Obama.”

Lifted from Facebook this morning, about Mittens:

Can you believe that? He had to have cut off his staff's credit cards BEFORE his concession speech because he left the building right after his concession speech and when some of his campaign staff tried to catch cabs home, they found out their credit cards were cut off. That's COLD...and this guy is worth more than a quarter billion dollars!!! His own staff. Unbelievable...maybe they were the 47% in his mind or the "takers."
    Now, THAT'S cold.

That was a really wild question for someone who has been a reliable FoxNews shill to ask. I still can't believe she said it.

Sorry I'm late to this discussion and forgive me if I'm repeating anything, but I voted for Nader in 2000 just as I voted for J. Stein this cycle. I will NEVER apologize for that vote, even though I knew it wouldn't make a spit of difference here, because I voted FOR Nader's ideals and his plan. For me, to vote for either of the major party candidates would have been a cynical betrayal of my own beliefs.

I voted for Obama last time but I had severe trepidations. I did it because my family and most of my friends were so excited about him that I got swept up in it. I liked what he was saying but I greatly feared, but didn't exactly know, that he he didn't mean any of it. Turns out my fears were confirmed.

To have voted for Obama THIS time would have been to knowingly vote for certain economic and foreign policies I vehemently oppose. People who voted for Obama for idealistic reasons, without understanding some of the repulsive actions he has taken in their names, can be justified in their votes to a certain extent. [but not for their willful ignorance] But those who voted for him because he was the 'lesser of two evils', knowing the heinous shit he has already done in their names, are the ones who should be ashamed imo.
