And of course Brewer will sign this in. Her body hasn't produced eggs in decades. She won't be affected by this.
    Yes.
And if you have a period, your body has committed murder without you knowing it!

As someone who would be of quite advanced maternal age should I decide to have another baby, these laws scare the shit out of me. If I were to conceive a baby with severe defects, it should be up to ME and my husband how to proceed, with the advice of my doctor. It is sick, twisted, and evil that these grandstanding old assholes are interfering in such difficult, personal decisions when they most often involve fetuses with severe problems. All of these dickheads need to be Ceausescu'd before we turn into cold-war era Romania.

When 2016 rolls around, and the Republicans throw a person actually worth voting for, to clean up the mess, and maintain it. Scary shit right there.

Think about it. Santorum has a sick kid, yet he started this whole family values, pro-life crap. The hornet's nest was kicked, now he's left the running. With all these insane abortion bills being introduced, women across the country are fucking furious. We make up a nice chunk of the voting pool, piss us off, we will vote for the other guy. All of this abortion shit, imo, is basically just giving Obama a majority of the women voters votes. Then think about the pissed off Democrats, who would they vote for to get Obama out, the Mormon, or the guy with bad hair, neither is really worth the gas it takes to drive to the voting booths.

If the Republicans REALLY wanted to get into office this year, they probably could have, yet they just gave us Romney and Gingrich to pick from. As far as scheming, and political agendas go, imo Republicans are much better at it, than Democrats. So if the Republicans are just shooing Obama in, you can't say they aren't up to something.
I've been wondering about this myself. NOTHING else explains Sin-torum, the unspeakable git Gingrich (with all his divorces and overt whoring) and most of all the empty-headed Twitt Womney as the ONLY candidates the entire Republican party can come up with to put against Obama. That just isn't credible to me. The Repugs can't be THAT stupid and hopeless or they'd never have gotten into the Presidency as many times as they have.

Setting Obama up longterm for a massive, horrific fail is much more credible, actually. If we see some incredibly sellable, slick Republican wunderkind appear seemingly outta nowhere and start making his (or her) way up the ladder in the next four years, that'll support this theory very well indeed. I wonder if they were testing Herman Cain to see how well a black opponent might work against Obama next time around. He got a surprising amount of support.

I dunno. I'm not much of a tinfoil hat wearer myself either, but if WE could think of this stuff, so could they; plus, isn't it pretty clear by now that most all of our elected reps are part of one big corrupt infrastructure that is NOT truly working for us the people? *shrug* Obama better try hitting it out of the park this time around. I figure since now he'll be a lame duck, he might play it a bit less safe. How that will actually pan out...who IS the real Obama...well, haha, we'll see won't we? Cuz he IS getting reelected.

So is it changing the laws of abortion, meaning you miss out on 2 weeks where you could potentially have an abortion? Sorry if I sound dumb, just trying to understand. So instead of, say, being able to abort up to 20 weeks it would then only be 18?

WTF is going on in the states right now, really?

The other two bills passed by the House include the state's "wrongful birth, wrongful life" bill that prohibits lawsuits against doctors who do not provide information about a fetus' health if that information could lead to an abortion. In addition, parents cannot sue on the child's behalf after birth.

The third bill requires that schools teach students that adoption and birth are the most acceptable outcomes for an unwanted pregnancy.

How can this bill even be legal?!?
that's what i'm wondering. this is so sick.

and the third bill is absolutely unacceptable as well. indoctrination at its best.

I don't know about the conspiracy theory. I agree that the situation sucks, but remember how any candidate running against Bush in the 2004 election was a shoe in and then the Democrats produced Kerry? That was awful. I think some of the same shit was going on, and it wasn't out of a deeper, darker intelligence but rather born out of disorganization and overblown self interest.

Yeah, I often wonder how the tides would turn if men had to get a prescription to buy condoms, and if condoms were the same price as birth control and if insurance companies could refuse to cover them.

Constance Johnson, a Democrat state senator from Oklahoma, is already on this. Saw it on the Daily Show earlier this week.
