As a resident from Iowa, who did go and caucused for Obama, I only did that AFTER Obama's "grass roots" people came a talked to me. Obama's people were the only ones who came to my door and talk to me, more than once. Obama's people were the ones that called me on the phone inviting me to go to a personal meet and greet with Michelle Obama (which I didn't go cuz I didn't have a sitter.) When the Obama people came to my door the last time and said they will provide me free daycare at the caucus, we decided to go, because hubby and I were real undecided if we were going at that time.

So you can tell your co-worker Obama did have a ton of ground troops out in Iowa working for him. Never heard from one of Hillary's people. Although, Hillary did have free food at for her caucus. If she told people about THAT, I bet more would've shown up for Hillary.

I'll tell her, but I doubt she'll believe it. She stands firm in the belief that Obama could not have raised the kind of money he did without help from the Democratic Party. And she believes the proof of that is Ted Kennedy's endorsement of Obama.

It's not the DNC. It's the bundling of donations, and matching grants from corporations that are supporting BO's candidacy. Only a small portion of his donations are from the $5 grass roots types.
