A big part of the Fox outrage is that by trying Mohammed, et. al. in New York somehow we will make New York a target of terrorists, suicide bombers, etc.

However, previously, when we tried and sentenced terrorists such as Nossair, Abdel-Rahman, and Youssef in New York (back then, when we had a lot less security), they did not end up targeting New York for attacks. They chose softer targets, like Luxor.

Okay. For a second, I was wondering what that had to do with terrorist Kaczynski being locked up on U.S. soil.

Sometimes I get carried away presenting my central thesis and forget to provide the background or buildup.

The family I nanny for here in NYC was torn apart by the 9/11 attacks, and they want him tried in NYC. They're republicans. Just throwing that out there.

Excellent point. We also tried and convicted that nut Mossaui in Virginia, near DC, and nothing happened.
