A real maverick would've chosen Lieberman. Now that would be an election I'd like to see.

^^True, a REAL maverick would've defied his Party, and Karl Rove, and chose the VP that he really wanted.

    ^^ Exactly

I cant stand Lieberman - he is a self serving prick but at least he is smart but the conservative base wasnt gungho on McCain anyway but he chose Palin because it was his only chance to get their vote but he lost the indy and undecideds because of her stances.

^^Exactly. But now even some conservatives are getting scared of Palin. I saw on the news that about 38 percent of them don't think she's ready to be VP.

I'm not sure I can stand to watch for very long. Her voice gets on my nerves in the same way fingernails on a chalkboard do. I am DVR'ing the debate but I may just fast forward through the highlights.

Exactly, I think she is going to do a great job. I also think that everyone is looking for her to fail, and they will be disappointed!

I don''t know if she really fucked the board though. Maybe just put the tip in. -Mrs. Dark

Which is why Biden has to play it by ear- But I think she will start off strong and if they concentrate on foreign affairs and the economy I think Palin will flounder.

Please. It'll be horrific, you can quote me. She won't make any clear, valid points. When moose fly, basically.

I don't have to 'underestimate her' unless those prior interviews were her dumb twin sister and the real Palin will be standing in tonight.

She'll wipe the floor with herself, and Biden just has to avoid the puddle.

I think if she comes off as even remotely competent, that will be interpreted by some people as her doing a great job. I don't think she could do "great" by my standards, seeing as how her IQ probably hovers around 95, she comes across as a narcissist, and whatever relevant knowledge she possesses at this point amounts to a collection of talking points drilled into her within the last week or so.

They have underestimated her. And WHY pray tell has Biden not smacked her on 'And Energy is my area of expertise', etc.
