They do have a tendency to work. Let's hope the people who are undecided or independent and want the issues addressed look past McCain's smear tactics.

I hope the McCain camp is prepared to be hit back and that they don't whine about it like everything else.

Witchdoctor, Bushbots, Joel's Army- (argue that they can be terrorists But they are so called Christians so they dont count right?????? )
And if they bring up Ayers then they should also bring up the Keating five but McCain was just associated with them and so was Obama just associated with Ayers- but the real issues you know the economy, and international affairs arent that importan to McCain right

Really ??? wow I would not know how to react.. I am a liberal democrat in Texas. I always say what I am and people look at me like I am retarded, and I just do not get it.. I feel like I live in the land of stupid. At least I have witnessed some change here, and maybe, just maybe it will continue.
I do worry about the negative ads though cause some people will believe them even though you can fact check.. wears me out. I also agree that Obama gives me peace and McCain makes me yell and Palin makes my skin crawl..

The Times article wasn't anything earth-shattering.

Yes, YES! Thanks for finding that. The guy is losing it, big time.
He really is Grumpy McStrokeEye. It went on a bit longer and
he had a really maniacal laugh following this as he kept pacing
up and down that stage. Crazy, man!

I am so tired of these generalizations and demonizing "liberals". But the conservative right falls for it hook, line, and sinker

    (sigh) I know.

I remember someone was making a rant on a moderate blog on 'lefties' regarding whatever that particular blog entry was about and someone had to point it out to him that this was a moderate blog, not a liberal based blog, Lol. (The damn website is called 'the moderate vote').

I don't think the 100% negative will gain traction (hasn't he already been there since the Palin pick??). Every news channel is challenging the truth of ads and statements and I don't think they've done that before.

I'm so effing tired of stupid.

What a joke that McCain wants to question character. I have to laugh that the party that demanded an investigation and spent 40 mill of our tax dollars because Clinton got a blow job is now asking us to vote for a man who cheated on his wife, abandoned her, married his rich young lover who became a drug addict, and has a running mate who may have been named as a cause of a divorce from when she cheated on her husband. Now that's character we can count on.

So you would rather vote for someone who was a member of the Keating 5 rather than vote for someone who was 8 when Ayers committed these atrocities. He has since apologized and is now a respected professor at a university. Not only that they weren't and aren't even close. McCain was one of the damn Keating 5. How can you think like this. It is so frustrating.
If I can't be a good example, then let me be a horrible warning.
