... except that it actually is over. She has 0 ability to secure the nomination. 2 + 2 = 4. You can't escape that.

Honestly, I'll be shocked if McCain isn't the next president.

I thought the superdelegates could overturn this, couldn't they? If she threatens to kill their dog, or something.

Oh dear god, no. I am starting to fear the same thing. I feel like Hillary was our best shot at winning. But perhaps Obama will surprise me. I don't dislike him, and I'd love to see him win over ANY republican. I am just so afraid he's going to be bowled over in the election...

You can't beat the numbers. They crunched the numbers and Obama has won more of the popular vote than Clinton, and he has also won more states, and more delegates. If he isn't electable, what does that say about Clinton? How could she manage it if he somehow can't?

They can definitely overturn this. If she finds a way to "turn" enough of them her way during or before the convention, she's the nominee. The problem with that scenario is the reaction of the Obama delegates, pledged and elected. There might be fisticuffs, riots even. Spilt blood for sure. It'll be worse than 1968.

Ding, Dong the Witch is Dead!
Fear not friendly Democrats ... Obama vs. McCain will be a very good thing for all of us - no more '90's Clintonian politics of personal destruction, no. more Y2k Roveian politics of political corruption.
It will be a breath of fresh air for all of us ... I hope it smells better than it has in the past.

Hilary is a huge liability because of her divisiveness. Dems have a better chance with her out of it.

Americans like their presidents tall. Shallow statement, yes, but true. You think McCain is looking forward to the debate photo op with Obama standing head and shoulder above him?

Wait, you still have those?
I get idealistic hopes, on very rare occasions. Then I lie down until they go away.
