It was simply rude and ignorant of her not to discredit that ignorance in the manner the other candidates have done whenever anything racist or sexist or jumb plain ignorant was said about their opponents. She should have at least stopped and asked the campaign people to have the person removed at once. Maybe hearing that doesn't offend her the same way it offends me and many others on here.

Most of the Obama supporters on this site sling hundreds of obsene words at people in the republican party. Very nasty words. I'm sure it isnt limited to GR but also at Obama rallies. If the supporters here are any indication, it is pretty pathetic to stoop to that level and then be pissed because someone calls a Dem a bad name. I sure havent heard Mccain supporters on here call Dems curse words, maybe someone wants to try to find one. You sure can dish them out around here. Some people are offended way to easily. Why?

Could ANTI-CHRIST be considered at curse word??

If you want to see how racist and pathetic McCain supporters can be, I suggest you go to the rapture ready message boards. They too think Obama is the anti-christ.

That's true except for at Obama rallies you don't hear people yelling Kill him, terrorist, communist, and now this icing on the cake. Palin isn't responsible for what comes out of their mouths but by not even acknowledging it, she's saying, it's okay, continue with the bigotry.

And again, nobody is calling for the death of Mccain and Palin here.

Rudy Giuliani's priest has been accused in grand jury proceedings of molesting several children and covering up the molestation of others. Giuliani would not disavow him on the campaign trail and still works with him.

Mitt Romney was part of a church that did not view black Americans as equals and actively discriminated against them. He stayed with that church all the way into his early thirties, until they were finally forced to change their policies to come into compliance with civil rights legislation. Romney never disavowed his church back then or now. He said he was proud of the faith of his fathers.

Jerry Falwell said America had 9/11 coming because we tolerated gays, feminists and liberals. It was our fault. Our chickens had come home to roost, if you will. John McCain proudly received his support and even spoke at his university's commencement.

Reverend John Hagee has called the Catholic Church the "Great Whore." He has said that the Anti-Christ will rise out of the European Union (of course, the Anti-Christ will also be Jewish). He has said all Muslims are trained to kill and will be part of the devil's army when Armageddon comes (which he hopes is soon). John McCain continues to say he is proud of Reverend Hagee's endorsement.

Reverend Rod Parsley believes America was founded to destroy Islam. Since this is such an outlandish claim, I have to add for the record, that he is not kidding. Reverend Parsley says Islam is an "anti-Christ religion" brought down from a "demon spirit." Of course, we are in a war against all Muslims, including presumably Muslim-Americans. Buts since Parsley believes this is a Christian nation and that it should be run as a theocracy, he is not very concerned what Muslim-Americans think.

John McCain says Reverend Rod Parsley is his "spiritual guide."
i would like to know what the republicans have to say about this.

In fact, where was Obama's backbone for the 20 years that his "spiritual advisor" was fanatically preaching racism against whites? Not only did he not stop him, he joined in by continuing to choose to go to his sermons.

If people don't like Palin, fine, but I don't think the Obama campaign or his supporters have any room to be insinuating anything about racism on the McCain/Palin side, especially when she wasn't even an active participant in what was said. I am tired of people grasping at every straw to make them look bad while giving Obama a free pass for all of his direct associations with highly questionable individuals, some of whom are also outspoken racists.
like grimm said, calling someone a nigger crosses a line. mccain supporters yelling out communist, socialist, pinko, baby killer, whatever, it may be ignorant and ridiculous but it's not the same as what this woman called out. even mccain made half-hearted attempts to his crowds when they started yelling out racist insults. palin should at least have had the guts to say that is not acceptable, something to make it clear she disapproves.
i'm not saying she's responsible for the comments of her supporters. but she does have a responsibility to make it clear racism will not be tolerated on her campaign, that it's not what they're about, bla, bla, bla. even if she doesn't mean it and it's just for her image. poitically and strategically, it was dumb of her. she lost points by very obviously showing that she'd heard it (she can't really issue a denial now, can she?), and not addressing it.

She heard it and she let it go. That proves, without a doubt, that she is willling to put up with any kind of behavior in order to get elected. It also proves that the crowds being drawn to her either agree with the woman who shouted it or simply didn't care. Either way, this is getting beyond scary.

I want to see one post anywhere on this board in which someone called another member , a person who was the topic of a thread, or any other individual anything equivalent to nigger. Find one. When you do, look under the poster's name. I am sure you will see "hit by the ban bus".

Disagreeing with someone, even calling their stances ignorant or intolerant, are one thing. Throwing out racial epithets is another.

I highly doubt anyone here would be as incensed by being called a bitch or dumbass as they would be being called a slur. There is a difference.

    That's reassuring.
And again, please point out and link us to some videos that have people yelling KILL HIM about Mccain. Please do it so we can compare the rallies side by side. It's only fair so things won't be biased here.

Actually, it was probably because the thing wasn't factual. And completely completely ridiculous. (And "ridiculous" is a nice word for what it was).

Cupcake you are so far out of touch with reality that it is frightening. As far as I am concerned you are as guilty as McCain and Palin. People who share your values had your chance to lead the world when Bush was appointed to the Presidency by the Supreme Court and then narrowly won the 2nd time by campaigning on fear tactics. Well look at what that leadership got us. It is now time for narrow minded biggots to step aside and let the middle of the road (you know - what you call liberal) to lead again.

I have a lot of friends who are conservatives and are capable of an intellectual argument of why they support McCain. You are not falling into that category.

And just own the bigotry. Instead of skirting around it.

I did not vote for Bush. I dont always vote republican, I have said numerous times that I was on the fence as far as these 2 candidates.
I have said why I support Mccain and not Obama, I dont have to reiderate it in every thread.
I am very in touch with reality and I am not in the obamatrance that most of America appears to be in.
