Anyone have any guesses/excuses on why Palin's hubby was CC'd on all those e-mails coming from the governor's office?

My guess, she probably felt like he was entitled to know about what was going on, and he was in it just as thick as she was. But by CCing her husband in all of those e-mails she destroyed the arguement about 'executive priviledge' since he's a private citizen and not part of her staff.

"If you read about the trooper thing you'll see the Trooper she went after is a total scumbag ... I don't mean to diminish your post or your concern - but in the grand scheme of things how it looks on a local level is drastically different than how it affects a national campaign."

The thing is, she fired his boss, who may or may not be a scumbag, to get to him. That is the problem. Then she replaced the boss with a scumbag who had a history of sexual harassement and who only lasted a couple of weeks. And this seems to be her usual method of doing things.

If it was an e-mail to a home I'm thinking she might just have wanted a copy for her files and had them sent home.

The state troopers investigated him and followed their personnel procedures. If they hadn't, then I would understand the concern. The trooper organization has issued disciplinary warnings to him. However, the Palin family only made most of the allegations when the divorce proceedings started. They didn't make the all accusations close to when the events occurred, which if he was such a dangerous trooper you'd think they would have done.

Unacceptable. She was conducting government business and could have jeopardize the safety of the information contained in those emails by sending it to a Yahoo account that does not contain the same level of encryption, etc that governments require.

Not to mention, having a copy at home wouldn't explain why she CC'd her husband. Wouldn't she just send it to her personal account if she wanted a copy at home? Or better yet, just put the info in the e-mails on a CD to back it up.
