Since they've now discovered gay/lesbian genes, and since she hates gays/lesbians AND she hates abortion, I wonder what she would have done if her fetus had genetically tested to be gay/lesbian, instead of Down's.

Then target her or her policies instead. It would be like someone attacking Obama's daughters because they didn't agree with him on issues- it just doesn't make sense.

And I guess you're also saying if a candidate had a gay child it would be OK to use slurs against him or her to attack said candidate?
There's a local service that finds jobs for special needs kids. It just makes me cry for joy on the inside that so many can function in society and do so like every one else. As for 'Glenny', I took a silly stumble and bit the sand, face first. He came running out to see if I was ok and brushed the sand off my back. Such a doll!

One thing I was wondering. why do you think if this was said in Canada that Grimm would be taken away. They have free speech in Canada also you know.
If I can't be a good example, then let me be a horrible warning.

They have hate speech laws. If you violate them, even on the internet, you go in front of a tribunal.

    LOL

maybe if you own a KKK website, or a neonazi one inciting people to violence against minorities, you might.

random comments on the internet otherwise, no, of course you don't. Give me a break.

I've worked with special education kids before, and they're as sweet as can be, so they're very near to my heart and it really bothers me when people (especially grown adults) call them names. Plus it's not the mom's fault. I'm sure you didn't mean to offend, Grimm, but maybe you could just try and be a little more sensitive.

    1) Calling special needs children "retarded"

    2) Saying there is something wrong with women who give birth to children with special needs

You may not like Palin, but your post was totally uncalled for.

What is the difference between the way you call kids "retards" and the way people call gays "fags"? Both are hateful and mean slurs against people who were born a certain way. If this was a one time thing I could understand, but this isn't you're first time using that word against children Grimm, and I don't care if most people are too scared to call you out on it- it's not right.
Right on!!! I am sick of the posts against the mentally handicapped on this forum, and I've said it before. I find it disrespectful and incredibly rude. I also think the words "retard", "tard", and "sped" are incredibly derogatory, and if they were leveled at a person as a homophobic or racist term, it wouldn't be accepted. I will never understand how people cannot find those words derogatory in its context and the way its used. Unfortunately, the mentally handicapped are somehow immune from any protection and anything goes, people toss that word around like its so funny when its incredibly rude and immature, in my opinion. And yes, anyone can have a special needs child, and its incredibly rude to say that it says something about the mother when it happens. Why not the father, then? Its nobody's fault and people aren't "defective".

And no, as for the original post, I don't find it sexist at all.

So this presidential thing has become all about who is sexist, who is racist and so on.
I know and it's stupid bullshit like that that shades the real important issues like rising cost of living and dissappearing jobs. I don't give a crap about all these "stories" I care about what's going to be done for all this crap that we've been dealing with for the last 8 miserable years!

Don't hate speech laws apply everywhere? If so, why the hell aren't most of us in jail?
