Cindy Sheehan arrested at house of reps. moments before Bush speech.. for no reason.

I just don't really think that was a time or the place for a protest. It's the State of the Union Address--at least have respect for the office of the presidency & what is symbolizes, if not the president himself. Protest him on the streets or in the front of the White House, not at such a historical event.

She DID protest in front of the White House, and got arrested. Protesting in the streets near any political event will also have you arrested. Outside of that, you're put into fenced off 'free speech zones', miles away from what you're protesting.

Last I checked, your whole nation was supposed to be a 'Free Speech Zone'.

Even a peaceful protest would be hammered down on by the Bushies. They can't handle seeing thousands upon thousands of citzens wanting answers and demanding impeachment, so they rush them off into "free speech zones" and pretend their not there. Pisses me off.

As for Cindy, sure there are rules in the house, but seriously she only had a shirt on with a number, not a flag burning or a bush-chimp juxstapostiion. Her being arrested screams "fasiscm".

WASHINGTON - Charges against antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan, who was arrested after an incident involving a T-shirt she wore to the State of the Union address, will be dropped, officials told NBC News Wednesday.

U.S. Capitol Police took Sheehan away in handcuffs and charged her with unlawful conduct, a misdemeanor, when she showed up to President Bush’s address Tuesday night wearing a shirt that read, “2245 Dead. How many more?” — a reference to the number of soldiers killed in Iraq.

But Capitol Police will ask the U.S. attorney's office to drop the charges, NBC News’ Mike Viqueira reported Wednesday.

“We screwed up,” a top Capitol Police official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

He said Sheehan didn't violate any rules or laws.

And yet she was still ejected, manhandled and arrested...

Cindy was cuffed and stuffed for wearing a T-shirt that said "2,245 Dead How many more?" She quietly left with the police. Beverly Young, the wife of Republican Bill Young of Florida was escorted out by police for wearing a T-shirt that said "Support the Troops-Defending our Freedom" and she started yelling and screaming at the police.

The Capital Police are dropping all charges and have formally apologized to both women, neither one broke any laws.
