Just ask any Marylander who he is and pretty much most of them will tell you they hate him and not to vote for him.

What my Arkansas friend said about Bill Clinton..... (cue the eerie foreshadowing music...)

Mo - I'm curious. What is the issue you see with the emails? What's the rule broken and what's the harm that occurred. I'm curious because I don't see it as anything more than right wing and media (we'll prove how we're not biased by hollering about this ad nauseum) much to do about nothing (a la...whitewater, Bengazi, etc. etc.)

I think it's a big Pandora's box of stuff, where salacious (politically salacious) details will drip, drip, drip throughout her campaign. To give one example of what a mess this is, the State Department had previously said that it had no emails from Philippe Reines - who was one of Clinton's key assistants. On its face, that's pretty outlandish. After a FOIA lawsuit was filed by Gawker which is actually a pretty liberal site), they found 18,000 Reines emails (Emails From Clinton Aide Philippe Reines Found as More Sensitive Information Flagged - US News). That makes me highly suspicious of people's motives, and quite frankly, competency.

I agree with you that the way the Clintons go about answering questions raises suspicions, but I'm still not understanding the actual harm that was caused. I also think that that the constant chicken little criminal Clintons mantra has never been substantiated (with the exception of the only actual scandal - when Bill lied under oath and was impeached). So frankly, unless and until someone's coming with an indictment, it just seems so contrived to me.

On a gut level, I'm deeply suspicious about someone or an agency who would answer that way about a key staff member who had undoubtedly handled thousands of intra-department requests, as well as had contact with many journalists. However, maybe it's a standard process of agencies to stonewall and say that they have nothing until the FOIA process has worked it's way through. And I'm not being sarcastic.

Apart from the email fuss which does seem to be a bit of a beat up, I'm more concerned about the Clinton financials where they have accrued seemingly vast wealth via their "charitable" Foundation AKA tax avoidance scheme. People sneer at Trump's evil capitalist wealth which he pays a lot of tax on but the Clintons aren't doing too badly either thanks very much and I'd be interested to see their tax returns.

It seems that right wingers are held to a very different standard of accountability and attendant public outrage than lefties who don't come under nearly as much critical scrutiny. It's OK to be a multi millionaire if you're part of the Collective.

I don't care how much money Trump has I don't think he is qualified to run this country and I don't agree with his insane policies of lets just deport everyone and fuck the rights of women.

I think they all pretty much cash in, A*O, regardless of party. Gerald Ford was on the board of directors of like 8 zillion corporations after he left the presidency. GW Bush cashed in before he even became president - some kind of sweetheart deal where he was allowed to by into a MLB team for a pittance, and then sell his share for mega bucks.

Oh I know all the piggies have their snouts in the trough, it's just that some are scrutinised more closely than others. If you want an education in basic human nature and politics read George Orwell's Animal Farm

Oh, yeah. Definitely read it. Ironically, I was just thinking about it, too, because I've been reading "Conversations with Stalin" by Milovan Djilas. Djilas had written another book called "The New Class", which was like a non-allegorical version of "Animal Farm".

I might give it a go if I think my blood pressure will stand it. I'm just turning into a very grumpy old woman. It's the hypocrisy, stupid.

Trump has no class and can't keep his mouth shut. He is no diplomat and will get our asses nuked when he spouts off to the wrong country. I'm a Republican and am embarrassed that he is being allowed to run on the Republican ticket.

I hope so. Pandora's story has been told incorrectly for so long that people use it as a negative example. The story is beautiful and has a wonderful ending that may represent Hillary's campaign - when you get to the bottom of the box, after the dark and fear, there is hope and light.

Now - why has no one mentioned that foxy Joe Biden!!!
