    The fact that we have to play 'count the minorities' is a statement about the Republican Party.

    I really cannot fault Black republicans for feeling the way they do. Regardless of political affiliation and beliefs, when someone that looks like you is months away from one of the most monumentally significant moments in American history, how can you not feel a kinship with him?

    Many including myself would never have imagined that a Black person would be president in our lifetime. So to see Barrack potentially achieve this historic moment, after hundreds of years of struggle and suffering, has to stir something inside of Black Americans (and Blacks in other parts of the world), regardless of politics.
