    No big deal.

Don't worry- if I had it my way, gay marriage would be legalized in a heart beat. It's none of anyone else's damn business who people choose to love.

The reality is a bit more complicated.

The facts are that there are numerous Dems in office that have voted against both gay rights and pro choice legislation.

Just one example would be DOMA. It was voted for by people like Dodd, Daschle, Bradley, Biden, Lautenberg, Wellstone, the list of dems that voted yes goes on and on....

So it's not black and white by party line. You can be voting dem, and still be supporting candidates that vote against issues that matter to you. It requires looking past the party to the person.

Who's asking you to kiss their ass? Certainly not me. But come on now, you wouldn't have mentioned it if you didn't think racism was a reason. You keep up with politics, so you have to know full well that people get accused of being racist when they're open about not supporting Obama. It happens, and Viggo was just protecting herself by mentioning it. And now you're inferring that since SHE mentioned it first, surely she must be a big ol' racist, or feel guilty on the inside for her racism. Unless you have some more proof about Viggo's motives for not backing Obama, I think you owe her an apology for even suggesting what you did. That's a very serious accusation to make against someone, and don't act like you're innocent about it, because anyone can clearly go back in the last few pages and read all of your posts about her "guilty feelings." Suggesting that about someone is almost as bad as suggesting they're a child molestor. It's not something anyone should take lightly, and you do NOT have the right to quiz her about it.

again I only said about race because so often in my non-cyber life do people immediately assume that would be the reason why I didn't vote Democratic this time around. I am sorry I even mentioned it.

Speaking of Republicans, I had a conservation with one of the Republicans I work with and she said she had a dream about Obama dying in a fire and it surprised her that she cried.

But then she got pissed because Biden became President and she knows that Palin would have been a better VP because she would run circles around Biden. I said 'Oh, like she did during the debates?' Shockingly, the conservation ended there and she had nothing else to say.

Is the argument that there is an enforcable property right in those tax cuts? The whole reason that the 2010 date was inserted was to pay for the tax cuts - do we have more money to extend them? Or is this the only rallying cry left after the Bush administration - even if it doesn't make any sense. The current Congress and current President aren't doing anything but letting the temporary cuts expire...please explain, I'm so confused about this.

Don't be sorry. You learn a lot about people and how they react to debate and differing opinions.

    Yes, it was grammatically correct.

However, I will lay the smack down on anybody who says "should/could/would OF", instead of 'HAVE'.

    Be warned.

Are you talking about the Tea Party stuff that just happened? I don't think anyone can really explain it, because most Republicans don't even get it.

I did find this- its a comment on a story about the tea parties:

You just don't get it do you.

This is not a Republican-Democrat issue. This is about our government irresponsibly devaluing our currency and imposing an inflation tax on its people.

Democrats would have you believe this is a sour grapes from Republicans to minimize its effect. Republicans would like to hijack the movement to invigorate their own failed policies/party.

To answer your question we are defintely upset that the federal government is taxing us to death and spending recklessly and generally being a threat to the fabric of this great country.

We are just as upset at the Bush administration with their reckless spending as we are with the Obama administration with their planned spending.

By the way, there's plenty of economists that warned about what is going on and are against these unconstitutional bailouts (i.e. Peter Schiff) We got here by borrowing and spending, we will not get out of this mess by doing more of the same. The so called "experts" that got us in this mess are the same ones pushing the bailouts - what does that tell you? Research Austrian economics and you'll understand why the bailouts are a kiss of death. Keynesian economics have been proven wrong (they didn'g account for stagflation and haven't been able to account for the current mess.)
And yes, these tea parties are organized and attended by Ron Paul supporters - the r3VOLution has not ended - it continues. We now just have many more people that are waking up to what is going on.'

This does a decent job of explaining it too:

Taxing you to death? Seriously? Your taxes are the lowest they've been in 30 years. The govenment has to spend money to dig itself out of the hole its in. How else are you going to do it.. magically wish the current insanity away?

Americans: learn your history, re: great depression

This teabaggign (snicker) stuff is just angry, directionless and ignorant venting by people who were too stupid to stop Bush and are taking it out on the new guy.
