Well no doubt he could probably do a better job than McCain either way, who has admitted to not being able to use computers and being bad at economics. And that's just what he says publicly.... lol

It was a great speech and he did an outstanding job. All the speech givers before hand were runners on base, Obama hit a GRAND SLAM out of the park and brought it HOME!!

Pat Buchanan, said 'that it wasn't a liberal speech, that it was a speech that spoke to everyone, and it was a great speech.

The McCain campaign response was flat, and they sounded very much caught off guard!!

Also, the Republican Convention might be postponed, but scaled down, no matter when it takes place!!

One of the first political speeches I was able to watch from beginning to end for 10 or so years, but I still think JFK did it better in 1960

Check it out for yourself, the two speeches were strikingly similar (not that I'm at all surprised).

YouTube - John F. Kennedy's Acceptance Speech - Part 1

One thing JFK did so well, and the one point Obama missed the mark on was to not just promise, but to ask. (Obama hit this mark when he spoke about parents turning off the TV, but he failed to drive it home on a general level - just my opin.).

Just to say also I loved it - so nice to have a candidate who can "speak" for once!

I didn't get to see Bill or Hillary's speeches yet (goes to YouTube). I really liked Al Gore's.

FANTASTIC SPEECH. Truly, I was captivated the whole time. He did exactly what he needed to do - he outlined his political platform and exactly what he was going to do when he took office. That way no one can claim that he's all slogan with no strategy. He absolutely brought it home tonight. I was cheering.

I saw all sides of the podium...if they were there, I didn't see them, but to be honest that wasn't what I was watching for.

Wasn't meant to insult the speech, just a fact.

Wow..they are hard to see!

That being said, he rarely looked straight ahead or appeared to be "reading a speech" and who cares.. he captivated 85,000 in attendance and millions in their homes. Teleprompter or not..the man is awesome!

He gave an excellent speech last night and didn't back down like other Democratic nominees in the past have.

Who cares if he had use of a teleprompter. He's 100 times more articulate, intelligent and lucid than Dubya ever was or will be.

I gotta say, his speech was amazing. I watched the entire thing.
Had goosebumps and felt really moved.
He really brought it home and is such an inspiration. I was even getting teary-eyed at some parts. LOL.
And my massive crush continues..................

On the Washington Post, they were calling his supporters, Obamabots (like Brangeloonies). Cute, no? LOL

Mccain..........turns 72 today. Hahaha.
