Default Ann Coulter's diarrhea of the mouth continues at CPAC

CNN) — Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter’s 15-minute address at CPAC played more like a stand-up comedy act than a political speech.
Coulter delivered line after line of jabs at President Obama, the Democratic Party and the media – each met with roaring laughter from the crowd.
The commentator – who is no stranger to controversy – first went after MSNBC, calling the hosts the “alternative prom crowd.”
Pointing to recent comparisons of Obama to Jesus and Abraham Lincoln, Coulter said the media has turned from being the people’s watchdog to the “government guard dog.”
“Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t see Lincoln text messaging with Scarlet Johansson … and I forget, how many times did Lincoln vote present?” she said, to much applause.

Coulter likened members of the media and Democrats to parents “gushing” over a newborn baby.
“Having pulled off their rather mediocre 53 percent to 46 percent victory, liberals can’t stop boasting about their new baby boy,” she said.
She said it was interesting that Obama’s “adorers” in the media compare him to Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, because, “apparently they can’t think of a Democratic president worthy of being compared to.”
“If [Obama] thinks people wanted change in 2009, wait until 2012,” she said.
Coulter has a long history of making controversial comments about politicians. Following her appearance at the 2007 CPAC, multiple companies asked to pull their ads from her Web site after she used what some observers called an anti-gay slur to describe then-Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.
She was also at odds with Sen. John McCain during the campaign season, saying "John McCain is not only bad for Republicanism, which he definitely is — he is bad for the country."

Silencing the opposition is a good sign? Right? Even if they do own and operate 80% of the small businesses that create and maintain 75% of the permanent jobs in America. Yea - we should completely silence them. That'll show em. That will certainly make them buy into Obama's stimulus plan that offers nothing to small businesses and raises their capital gains taxes.

I've never met anyone who got a job from a poor person or anyone complaining about their boss or job.

Yea - stifling the business owners who sign the paychecks will do the trick.

Grandma said she heard something like, Limpballs was only supposed to talk for twenty minutes, and went on for 90. She also said, with the way the repukes trust this guy, it reminds her a lot of how Hitler came into power

Maybe if the opposition had something worthwhile to say, instead of repeating the same "Obama's a socialist/anti-Christ" mantra, people wouldn't want to silence them. Or better yet, maybe the opposition should do something more than just be the 'opposition' and offer up useful alternatives to their failed policies of the last 8 years.

And, yeah, Dubya did such a great job helping out small business owners, by giving tax breaks to the wealthiest corporations, who shipped American jobs overseas so they could increase their profit margins. And small businesses have been hurting more than the big corporations because of those out of synch tax breaks. But, yeah, it's all about evil Obama.

Oh conservatives, if they weren't so mindless they might almost be entertaining.

Mann must have tuned out all the comparisons between Obama and JFK and FDR, and even LBJ on civil rights. No democratic presidents to choose from.... ignoring reality again.

Bush had been cutting taxes (and doing a 'stimulus') during his presidency. If cutting taxes is the answer to a healthy economy, our economic muscles should be busting the seams.

I don't believe in silencing them, either.

I just believe in not listening to them in the first place.

You've never met anyone complaining about their boss or job? Do you live alone on a deserted island?

o...h I don't know, how about John F. Kennedy? You know, the president that Obama has been compared to as far back as the primaries?
