Angry Iraq war cost to date: 900 billion, but hey.. no money for health care...

900 billion (click for cost run analysis)

That would be the cost of the Iraq war. In terms people can better appreciate, that'd be 36 bail-outs of the auto industry, or 1.5 massive stimulus plans for the economy. All wasted on Iraq. All wasted because our president is an idiot, and the Republicans enabled him every step of the way. But we don't have money for Detroit, and we don't have money for health care reform. We only have money when the Republicans want to go blow up other countries in wars of convenience based on a lie. (Via Taegan)

Don't forget that we are STILL not out of there. And oh, don't forget a placed called Afghanistan. They are upping the troop numbers there, and if people thought Iraq was a complex place, think about all the tribal rivalries and differences in Afghanistan.

I dunno why anybody bothers with afghanistan.. in 2000 years, no foreign power, from Alexander the Great to the Soviets have been able to tame that country.. it's not even a real country, it's just a bunch of tribes in a lawless waste.

War is capitalism, health care is not.....yeah sucks does'nt it.

I hate how we still have to have people buy health insurance. It's gonna be 2009 and were still not investing in national health care. Fucking stupid!

Health care is not capitalism in this country? Since when? The reason why we have a healthcare crisis in this country is because of profit oriented capitalism.

HMO's are the epitome of capitalism. Nationalized healthcare, apparently, is socialism.
