Did John McCain really want to be president at this point?

Watching his concession speech, I think he felt almost relieved, honestly. I don't think he wanted to be president at that point anymore. His health, his age, I think he couldn't handle the added stress of leading a country. Now he can rest. I still think he feels guilty for having supporters turn out the way they did, especially how they acted when he tried to deliver his speech. I honestly don't think that's what he wanted.

I agree with you. I think he was relieved. Look at what the next president is inheriting. The U.S. is a big, big mess. I'm just amazed and proud of Obama for taking on such a huge challenge. I wouldn't want to do it. I'm glad someone does
