New poll out today, 64% of Republicans say that they want Sarah Palin to run in 2012
In a new Rasmussen poll out today, Republicans overwhelmingly say that they want Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as their presidential nominee in 2012. Sixty-four percent of GOP respondents said that Palin would be their top choice in 2012: When asked to choose among some of the GOP’s top names for their choice for the party’s 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year — Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%. Three other sitting governors – Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota – all pull low single-digit support. In the same poll, 69 percent of Republicans said that Palin “helped John McCain’s bid for the presidency,” even though exit polls found that 60 percent of voters felt that she was “ not qualified to be president if necessary.”

Yes, it's true. Out of curiousity I turned on FOX news last night and they showed this poll. I couldn't believe it. What is up with all this anti-intellectualism in our country?

Oh, well I didn't mean the poll was true. I just meant that it is true that it was actually presented as truth because I saw it with my own eyes.
They also had this woman on there that was a repug spokesperson who was gushing all over Sarah Palin as the future of the party. She had that faraway, dreamy look to her eyes. I swore she had a lesbian crush on Palin.

I would love if Palin is the nominee in 2012 not only for the lulz but for the fact that she will drive the saner conservatives and independents away.
I doubt that she would be though because I cant see the likes of Romney or others would want her to succeed- the infighting is going to be fantastic to see

Well, I'm scared. I'm scared they're going to be able to coach her just enough that next time she sounds like she knows what she's talking about and a lot of people will give her another chance. We must not let that happen!

I know, the few I know thinks she's a joke.
I couldn't find the sampling for this poll. I'd like to know how many people were polled and what the demographic was.

Re
Even if she made it to the primary, she wouldn't make it through the primary. Because once her fellow repubs start digging the dirt, she's done for. The GOP excels at dirty tricks and they will be the ones who twist in the dagger. Should be fun!
