Default Homer Simpson votes for Barack Obama

Animators behind comedy cartoon series The Simpsons have been slammed for showing their support for presidential candidate Barack Obama and implying that the rival Republican party is involved in vote-rigging.
In the first episode of season 20 of the hit show, character Homer Simpson attempts to vote for Democrat Obama five times - but each time he tries, the vote registers for Republican candidate John McCain instead.
The comedy sequence, which aired on Saturday night, has been slammed by McCain supporters, who fear the move will add support to Obama's campaign in this week's presidential election.

One McCain supporter, writing on a Republican website, says, "I realize a lot of celebrities are in the tank for Barack Obama, but I am very disappointed to learn Homer appears to be among them."
But The Simpsons writer Al Jean has defended the episode, insisting the move wasn't intended to show favor to Obama.
He says, "We try to satirise society. I think there are people who believe the voting process, especially with electronic voting machines, is suspect, so that's what we're satirizing."

Well if anything, it's true. It was reported in WV that this happened a few times and in another state. The computer kept flipping the voter's Obama choice to Mccain.
And after the highly suspect "win" of Bush's 2004 re-election, is it any wonder people believe the Rethugs are shady as fuck with the voting process?

The public is mad as hell and doesn't want to take it anymore.

Enough of their bullying. It's disgusting.

Voter Intimidation. I also think they're saying it's a tight race so McCain can easily steal this election. That's one of the reasons why we need a landslide victory.

I bought my son a shirt that lists all the US president; I need to create a special blank spot or just find a big question mark sticker to put on it. I'll be so happy when this is all over; at least I hope I'll be happy.

Boo hoo, the Republicans are angry that people are calling them out on stealing elections. Guess they'll just have to try and steal this election, too.

Homer's not as stupid as he seems.

I should send this to my conservative, anti-Obama philosophy teacher. He's OBSESSED with the Simpsons.

    *in Nelson voice* Ha-ha!

I got one of those little 'I Voted' stickers, too.. I saved it
