Default Barack Obama on SNL weekend before election?

Obama on SNL Weekend Before Election?
Will He Fight Mark Wahlberg?

In the wake of an awkward and unnecessary Sarah Palin appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend, news comes that Lorne Michaels, who recently donated $4,600 to Barack Obama's presidential campaign, may have coaxed the Illinois senator into appearing on SNL the Saturday before the election.
I heard from one of Sarah’s aides this morning that at the obligatory SNL after party, a slightly affected Seth Meyers blurted out something to the effect of “…yeah, but just wait til you see what we have cooked up for Obama’s appearance right before the election.” You may remember that Obama “canceled” his appearance on the show on opening night because of Hurricane Ike. But sources now say that it could have been a ploy cooked up by Lorne Michaels and David Axelrod to save Obama for the November 1st show… right before the election.

Hmmm, I dunno if that would be wise...... He already has most of the SNL audience in his pocket, wouldn't wanna put off the undecided with a bad "performance".....

I remember Bill Clinton pulling out the saxophone during his first run for the presidency and all us young voters taking notice and saying this dude is cool. If it brings out the youth vote, why not!

I remember that, too. When Bill went on Arsenio Hall's show that paved the way for the SNL appearances that we're seeing now by candidates.

I was much too young to vote during the Clinton era, but I remember watching him in Arsenio and saying,"Mom, he's cool for an old guy!"

I don't think SNL will make an ass of him like they did with Palin. It's her own fault. You are a a conservative guesting on a notoriously liberal show? Suicide!

oh my god...I would love to see him and Fey's Palin together. It would be hysterical if she was at a debate or event and they had her follow him into the bathroom and hit on him and then Michelle could come in and stomp her into the ground. We know Palin loves some extracurricular booty. They could have her go from a Klan meeting to an event where Barack was and have her getting all hot and bothered for him. Cause you know she is.

I think an appearance by Obama would depend on the health of his ailing grandmother.

HAHA. Wouldn't that be the best? Sarah Palin is secretly infatuated with Obama!

Arsenio is a name I haven't heard in AGES. I loved his show.
