Default John McCain: Bill Ayers will come up in debate

McCain: Ayers will come up in debate
    POLITICO
John McCain said Tuesday that Barack Obama is “probably ensured” that his association with 1960s radical William Ayers will come up in Wednesday’s debate.
“I was astonished to hear him say that he was surprised that I didn’t have the guts” to bring up Ayers, McCain said on KMOX, a St. Louis radio station.
“I think he is probably ensured that it will come up this time.”
McCain was responding to Obama’s charge last week that the Arizona senator was willing to make attacks on the campaign trail that he would not say in person.
“I am surprised that, you know, we've been seeing some pretty over-the-top attacks coming out of the McCain campaign over the last several days, that he wasn't willing to say it to my face,” Obama said. “But I guess we've got one last debate. So presumably, if he ends up feeling that he needs to, he will raise it during the debate.”
Obama has also accused McCain of trying to score “cheap political points” by bringing up Ayers.
Despite challenging Obama on the association, McCain insisted that he does not care about the “old washed-up terrorist” but said that the Illinois Democrat is not “being truthful” about the relationship.
McCain: Ayers will come up in debate

Obama's right, McCain didn't have the guts to bring up Ayers when they were face-to-face in the debates. And if McCain doesn't bring it up tomorrow at the debate then he really is a pussy.

Let McCain bring up Ayers so that Obama can point out all of McCain's affiliations.

McCain would be a foool to bring this up at the debate, imo. If for no other reason, than he has just broadcast to the whole world that he'll bring it up, ensuring that Obama's answer will be fully prepared and designed to whoop ass.

Exactly. And since Keating 5 involved deregulation it makes it more timely than Ayers.

At least this debate won't be in the whole "Town Hall" style. McCANE won't be toddering around the stage the whole time.

And McCain was the one saying that 'you don't telegraph your strategy to your enemies,' and he's telegraphing his strategy with Obama.

LOL But I almost wish it was again so we could see the old man flying around the stage looking insane and lost!

HAHAHA. I can just imagine the countless eye rolls, eyebrow raises, smirky smiles, and veins popping out while he has to sit still for 90 minutes next to Obama. It sounds like he's going to come out guns blazing which ought to look really silly to Obama's cool demeanor. Let him bring up Ayres and then get hit over the head with all the entitlements he's been for and is now against. It appears like he can't make up his mind what he wants to be - first a maverick, then underdog, now a fighter, what's next week?

Obama can also bring up all of McCain's Republican friends who "pal around" with Ayers. I don't think he's afraid to bring it up in front of Obama. If there was merit to it, he would. He knows if he says it, Obama will bring up Keating 5, Annenberg, etc. It'll be bomb, bomb, bomb Iran all over again.
