Default NY Post says Sarah Palin has signed to appear on SNL, dogonit

Is it payback time for Sarah Palin?

According to The New York Post, the Republican running mate has sealed plans to appear on "Saturday Night Live" on Oct. 25. Palin's dress rehearsal is already set for Friday, Oct. 24, the paper reports.

But if Palin is readying her best Tina Fey impression, nobody close to her is giving any hints.

Neither the campaign nor NBC would confirm the report when asked by FOX News.

Palin was asked Tuesday by reporters whether she wanted to give Fey, who has parodied Palin -- some say impeccably -- on the late-night comedy show ever since she was tapped as the Republican vice presidential nominee, a "taste of her own medicine." She seemed to relish the thought.

"I would love to," Palin said, laughing. "I love her. She's a hoot and she's so talented and it would be fun to either imitate her or keep on giving her more material and keep her in business." Palin on SNL? It's a Done Deal, NY Post Reports - FOXNews.com Elections
Christ, her fucking 'folksy' bullshit is really getting on my nerves. A 'hoot'? I haven't heard that word since my great aunt Maddie died.

I don't like it. When you give populists like her a finger, they take the entire arm.

The only thing that would make it good if they "include" her in a joke but then still "top" her, you know? So, that she still thinks people are laughing with her, while she totally misses she's become the butt of the joke after all. That would just showcase her ignorance live on TV.

ugh, no, why did they invite her? this is disappointing, unless they're planning to ridicule and humiliate her.

I think and hope Tina Fey will lead her gently down the path to extreme self-parody. And I will laugh and laugh and laugh.

Aunt Maddie says 'Don't listen to Faux News, don't listen to McSame.' Aunt Maddie was a sensible midwest gal who knew bullshit when she smelled it. I think Aunt Maddie should be our political mascot until the election.

I agree her schtick is already getting stale, with all the nasty attacks from her and mccains campaign, as well as racist and hateful rhetoric from their supporters, now is not the time to be going on saturday night live and yukking it up. She needs to spend time cleaning up and shaping up what's left of their campaign.

Basically she needs to get with the f**king program and finish this campaign off with some measure of professonalism and dignity not f**king off for SNL.

I don't either. She has no shame. That's why the parody of her is so effective, that she has no shame. So they are letting her go on there so she can fake humility about her ineptitude? It would be one thing if she were capable of realizing her incompetence. But she doesn't believe she's incompetent, therefore they shouldn't be giving her this platform. At ALL. Completely ridiculous, and I'm sure it's motivated by a desire for ratings. I can't stand to watch her act like herself and I am sure not gonna watch her act like someone else. She DESERVES the parody of her that Tina Fey has been doing (and in truth, Tina Fey has been overly kind to her, more than I would be). Having her on there kind of invalidates it.

I don't believe SNL should give Palin any kind of forum.

It seems like they just want to pull in more ad revenues because this will bring in even more viewers.

Shouldn't Palin be worrying about that little 'abuse of power' thing in Alaska?

That's what I hope will happen, and then Tina Fey talks about how dumb Palin is after the shows airs.
