    Default Latest polls ending 9/27

Barack Obama leads John McCain, 50% to 42% among registered voters in the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday -- just one point shy of his strongest showing of the year.

These results, from Sept. 25-27, span the time period since John McCain made the announcement that he was temporarily suspending his campaign and returning to Washington to work for a bipartisan solution to the financial crisis, and since Congressional leaders first announced progress towards the resolution of a financial bailout bill.

That was the stupidest thing a presidential candidate has ever tried.

If the past week was bad for McCain - there is the VP debate coming up this week and there is new corrupt scandals for him and Palin that have cropped up as well.

    Bye bye McCain.

Obama better tighten his security, more as each day goes by and the losing side grows more and more desperate.

Considering the over sampling of Republicans in these polls, I would venture to guess the spread is more like Obama up by 15% points.

Seriously. I just can't get over the fact that this man said he was "suspending" his campaign, then went to DC, and didn't do anything, AND ended up the debates when he said he wouldn't until a deal was reached. It's unheard of.

I hope Letterman hammers him every day until the election.

^^ It will be even better if he fails to show up in DC to vote for it now since he is holed up trying to prepare Palin.

I never in my wildest dreams imagined a presidential election becoming more of a fiasco than the one in 2000. Then again, I didn't envision a shell-shocked presidential candidate running with an ignorant former beauty queen cum soccer mom, who couldn't hold her own in a debate over Betty Crocker versus Duncan Hines.

    Truth is stranger than fiction.
