Question What happened to Ron Paul?

I was watching an older interview from 2007 with Bill Maher. What happened to him?

I still see a few of his signs in my area but not like they were months ago.

He stopped campaigning for President, and just recently endorsed Constution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin.

He's still a republican congressman.....and just this week has published some articles against any bailout.

I liked him during the primary debates- He was one of the few people that warning about this mess.

I know here in Montana, he's petitioning to have his name removed from the ballot - he is HUGE here. Obama did very well in MT and I think the concern is that he will split the Repub vote. He's a little late to remove his name and he will remain on the ballot.

I looked into his views early on and I liked his fiscal conservativism, but the whole total ban on abortion and no public education (home school only) turned me WAAAAAAYY the hell off.

The thing about homeschooling only is a fallacy though, although he wants to encourage home schooling by giving people who do it a tax write off...

He's not anti public education, but he is anti a Federal Department of Education......he wanted to get rid of ours.....which would be fine with me, because education primarily is and should be on the state and local level.

    Ron Paul on Education

It's possible I misread his website's policy positions. I didn't read too closely after the abortion position. Thanks for clearing it up for me!
