Default Joe Biden starting debate prep

CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) — Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm has been tapped to help Joe Biden as he prepares to take on GOP rival Sarah Palin in the upcoming vice presidential debate.
Granholm will spend four days helping Biden sharpen his skills before he faces off with Palin October 2.

At a fundraiser Tuesday night, Biden told supporters debating Palin would be tricky.
“Folks look, I know what she’s going to try to do. She’s going to try to make it as personal as she can. She’s going to take a lot of straight lefts and jabs at me, she’s going to try to get me to respond, she’s going to try to get me to respond in a personal way," Biden said. "That’s not my style. I’m not going to do it.”

Instead, Biden said he would "try very hard" to keep the focus on health care, the struggling economy and foreign policy.

Having a woman's perspective on how to debate Palin can only help. The fact that Granholm is a fellow governor will also be in Biden's favor. I'm willing to wager that Granholm knows Palin fairly well through governors' conventions, so any insight she has needs to be used.

Oh, this is so going to be a slaughter, putting poor old Alaskan Bambi as a sacrifice to make the Dems seem mean spirited.

It's the old deflect and run game. Throw Palin out there to divert attention from McCain's tired routine and hope the the American public falls for it. Republican bigwigs are just using Palin as a shield to cover for McCain.

Apparently with some of the rallies he will have her in attendance, because she draws a bigger crowd than he does.

ITA. Biden couldn't have picked a better choice to help prep him. At least, one VP candidate seems to be preparing for the debate.

Note to Biden: Do not mention lipstick and/or pigs.

Biden should do very well. I expect we will see a lot of "one liner" answers from Palin. She seems to be more about producing sound bites instead of substantial answers.

Palin is preparing for that powder-puff interview with Charlie Gibson. *Makes gagging noises* Pitbull in lipstick, my ass. More like a pomeranian in Blistex.

WTF is wrong with these people...

They should be debating about issues and what is best for America, and instead they are just fighting and insulting each other. No wonder America is in the state it is in.

Also, please not to mention old fish in newspaper that stinks after 8 days because that too, is a terrible insult to the Alaskan malamute in lipstick.
