Weinstein and Pelosi talked on the phone late last month, the sources said.

The three officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk publicly about the conversation.

They said Weinstein, a top supporter of Clinton's presidential campaign, appeared determined to buy Clinton more time in her battle against Sen. Barack Obama by pushing for the revote. He was also pressing Pelosi to back off her previous comments that superdelegates should support the candidate who's leading in pledged delegates in early June, the sources said.

Have you ever threatened or implied a threat toward him? I doubt it. A guy from my town was picked up and questioned by SS for writing a letter to a friend saying "somebody" ought to "do something" about Bush. This incident was not even covered in the press, but everybody here knows about it. His brother is an acquaintance of mine.

HAH, ive wondered why someone hasn't put a bullet in his head, ive wondered why nobody has taken a shot at him, i've wondered why nobody has ever sent him free pretzels, mountain bikes and segway scooters, or shot down his airplane, on and on i could go.

I suppose the difference is i'm not saying someone SHOULD do these things, I'm saying I'm surprised nobody HASNT.

I spent most of my adult life in DC and have said WAY worse about politicos and nothing has happened to me yet. If your acquaintance was questioned, they obviously had some other reason to believe he was a viable threat.

^^No, they let him go because they determined he wasn't a threat. His statements in his letter were ambiguous, but it was enough to get the SS's attention.

Not trying to shut you up greysfang, truly, I'm just sensitive to that sort of thing ever since the guy was questioned. For hours and hours, apparently.

I don't see how anyone can discount votes from Florida when she clearly won there. I guess the people of Florida don't get to have their voices heard because of something that wasn't their fault in the least. There should be revotes at least. But Florida would clearly favor Clinton, which is why Obama does not want revotes. And the last time I checked, no matter how much media spin is put on it, Obama has not secured the nomination yet.
