Good. I can't see him being a good vice president for anybody. He just seems to sold on himself to me.
LAS VEGAS (Reuters) - Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards said on Thursday he would not accept the nomination for U.S. vice president as he did four years ago.
Edwards, a former senator from North Carolina, dropped out of the 2008 race that is still being contested by the two remaining Democrats, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, to see who represents the party in the November 4 general election.
Edwards was picked as running mate with Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry in 2004 but the two were defeated when President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney were re-elected.
After his keynote speech at CTIA, the annual U.S. wireless industry showcase, Edwards was asked in a question-and-answer session if he would accept the nomination for vice president.
"No," said Edwards, who also declined to say whether he would endorse Clinton or Obama.
Edwards dropped out of the presidential race after finishing third behind Obama and Clinton in key early nominating states.

he needs to stay home and be with his wife. enough already.
Well, the whore apples sure didn't fall far from the whore tree. Sylkyn
His wife is about to die.
Sorry, I think John Edwards is awesome and I'd rather see him on the ballot than Hillary or Obama.
^Me too. He is the reason why the Dems were talking about health care plans so early in the race.
No offense to Edwards but the only way he'll ever be in the White House is as a VP, because he'll never be elected president. Even if Obama and Hillary weren't in the race he wouldn't get the nomination.
Why do you say that?
Because Edwards is too much of a 'pretty boy.' People don't take him seriously. Plus, he has that 'used car salesman' vibe to him. And this is coming from somebody who actually respects Edwards, but that's just how I see it.
I like some of his ideas. I was hoping he would be VP!
You know I really don't see that about him. He comes across as rather sincere to me; I guess the baby face kind of fucks him.
Sorry to bump this, but a US political journo on the radio today said that Obama has approached Edwards to take the VP ticket. Perhaps now that Obama has won the nomination and there's a good chance he'll be in the White House before Christmas, John Edwards will set aside his high minded principles and let his ambition take over again.
Given the bad blood and the fact they obviously hate each other's guts I can't believe Obama will want Hillary in the job. She must be spitting nails. Tee hee.
