Senior Latin diplomat calls Barack Obama election 'transforming moment for the world'
Obama's Election 'A Transforming Moment For the World'?
Interesting quote about Obama of the day, volume two: A senior Latin American diplomat, who asked to remain unnamed because of the sensitivity of the topic, says, "Look, we're all watching Obama with bated breath and hoping [his election] will be a transforming moment for the world. "

I think a lot of countries are watching to see what happens with this election, especially where Obama is concerned. Especially countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. To see if a person of color will become the leader of the world's most powerful nation.

It's amazing to see that Limbaugh is pissed at his own party because they (correctly) assume that traditional 'swift boat' style attacks on Barack won't work. I still think there are more of the Drudge picture type attacks out there though, maybe on the american flag pin issue

Nothing surprises me with Limbaugh anymore. And the thing about issues like the flag pin are that they're just smokescreen for the 'muslim' card. I mean, even the 'Obama didn't have his hand at his chest for the pledge of allegiance' turned out to be a crock. Turns out that it was the Star-Spangled Banner being played in that photo, and not too many people put their hand on their chest for that.

I think most people don't follow these things as closely as we do, all they hear/see is Faux News telling them 'Obama refuses to wear flag win.' (without knowing the reason why he didn't want to exploit patriotism after 9/11)

I agree. But, then again, people that listen to Faux News as the gospel are the ones that think the world is only 5,000 years old and that science is evil.

^^Yup, that's the photo where they were playing the Star-Spangled Banner. But I wonder what they're all looking at?

maybe he was just tired after a long day or the song was over. Not everything in a campaign is a major big deal!

^^It depends which candidate you are. If it's Hillary, the worst possible motives are always ascribed to her. She isn't even allowed to cry without being attacked for faking it for heaven's sakes!
