I have to thank y'all again for being so funny, insightful and sharing my disdain for this Twilight Zone period in American politics. Seriously, this board is helping keep me sane. I am scared, incredulous, worried, angry, all mixed up together all the time. It's so nice to know there are people outside my tiny circle on the planet who feel the same way I do. It really helps. Love you all! Can't wait until Trump Board IV: The Reckoning when we can celebrate the man and his minions being brought down. I hope it doesn't take more than 4-5 boards to get there and it's not like the LeAnn Rimes board.
“If it was a guy from south Texas, I might ask him to step outside and settle this Aaron Burr-style.”
tough talk from a guy that looks like he breaks sweat tying his shoes
"Trump telling the Boy Scout jamboree about "the swamp" or "the cesspool or perhaps the word sewer, but its not good."
"You better get @SenCapito to vote for it," POTUS says in WV. Capito has said she won't vote to repeal Obamacare without a replacement."
"President Trump is now addressing thousands of kids at the Boy Scouts Jamboree about the “fake media” and “fake news”
President Obama was a scout, Trump was not.
"President Trump at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree: "Did President Obama ever come to a Jamboree?" Boy Scouts: "Noooooooo!"
“My opponent didn’t work hard there” in Rust Belt states, Trump tells kids at the Boy Scout Jamboree; now talking about his crowd size"
"Trump now telling kids at the Boy Scouts Jamboree about “fake polls” and “fake news” and his “tremendous crowds”
Holy Jesus. When will our national nightmare end???? Donald Trump is not my president, dammit.

Texas Republican suggests settling health care ‘Aaron Burr-style’
A Texas Republican who wants to repeal Obamacare also wants to turn the clock back to the dueling days of the 19th century.
Rep. Blake Farenthold blamed “some female senators from the Northeast” for the lack of Senate action on the GOP’s health care plans, and suggested Monday violence may be an answer.
“If it was a guy from south Texas, I might ask him to step outside and settle this Aaron Burr-style,” he told 1440 KEYS host Bob Jones Friday.
Aaron Burr’s famous duel, against Alexander Hamilton in Weehawken, N.J., in 1804, resulted in the death of the latter $10 founding father.
Trump lambasts GOP for failing to pass health care bill
It was not immediately clear which of the “female senators” Farenthold, a Corpus Christi conservative, most desired to take to a gentlemen’s contest of one-on-one combat.
Sen. Susan Collins, a Maine Republican, has opposed her party’s attempts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act because of cuts to Medicaid and reports that show many people would lack coverage.

West Virginia's Shelley Moore Capito and Alaska's Lisa Murkowski are two other female Republican senators who have expressed reservations about their colleagues' plans.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is considering which bill to bring forward for a vote, deciding between bills that have previously sputtered and a simple repeal bill with no replacement for Obamacare.

Farenthold's dueling comments weren't the first time the congressman, who once owned Blow-me.org through a consulting company, has come under scrutiny.
He was sued by a former staffer in 2014 for sexual harassment after allegedly saying he had "sexual fantasies" and "wet dreams" about her.
The former staffer and the congressman settled the suit in 2015 with no admission of wrongdoing.

Just when I think he can't get any classier.
We're on thread #12 on the other board I'm on. :(
I woke up this morning to no power. I called work and the phones went straight to voicemail - the main one and three different people's extensions. I texted a couple of coworkers and didn't hear back. I called my dad because I knew my car was going to be stuck in the garage, and that went to voicemail too. So did my parents landline. I spent about ten minutes 99% convinced that drumpf had finally done it and we'd been nuked into the stone age.
Mom finally called back, and I got enough of a cell signal to google how to open a dead garage door, so all was well. But it's a sad state of affairs that that was where my usually not remotely paranoid mind went.
I'm too exhausted from hating the president to rant, but did any of you guys see the woman standing behind Him during his little healthcare lecture today? Her ICP eyebrows were seriously on point.
Yep. Already in the eyebrow thread!
I just saw that clip on tv and I felt such sadness that Obamacare has failed to help those cursed with Bozo the Clown eyebrows. Tragic.
*off to the eyebrow thread*
John McCain to return to Senate Tuesday for health care vote - CNNPolitics.com
(CNN)Sen. John McCain, recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, will make a dramatic return to the Senate Tuesday to cast a critical vote on health care legislation.
McCain's office announced Monday night he will return Tuesday. His return will amount to a surprise to most Republicans, who expected him to miss the crucial vote and return to Washington at a later date. But he could help the GOP deliver a critical vote to begin debating health care legislation, which is on the verge of collapsing.
"Senator McCain looks forward to returning to the United States Senate tomorrow to continue working on important legislation, including health care reform, the National Defense Authorization Act, and new sanctions on Russia, Iran and North Korea," his office said in a statement.
The Arizona Republican underwent brain surgery earlier this month and announced last week he has been diagnosed with brain cancer.
Just hours before the announcement was made, McCain's colleagues expressed doubts that he'd be in the chamber in time for the vote.
"I don't have any expectation at this point," Sen. John Thune told reporters earlier Monday. "And I don't know that anyone else I talked to does."
McCain's arrival back to the Senate, however, doesn't guarantee leaders will have the votes they need to begin debate. With McCain back in Washington, McConnell can now afford to lose just two of his members.
I am livid they made him come back and I'm not impressed with McCain that he is actually coming back unless it is to vote against it without McTurtle knowing about it beforehand. Someone who's being treated for, what's probably terminal, cancer with excellent Senate healthcare comes back to Washington so he can vote to take it away from millions of people.
McCain always votes along party lines. I'll be shocked if he votes against this bill.
I guess we'll find out if brain cancer gives a person a conscience.
sorry not sorry.
