I made the mistake of clicking on a Facebook comment section for one of the articles about the call. All the Trump supporters are basically saying "well, it's true, he knew what he signed up for", and then some are saying "well, what was the tone he said it with, it could have been compassionate!" (when has he ever said ANYTHING in a compassionate tone?). Just unbelievable how his supporters react, they live in a completely separate reality.
I make it a really hard rule to stay away from politics on FB. Most of my friends and family (with very few exceptions) are pro Trump and I just can’t. It makes me feel like everyone around me has such blinders on. My ex (who is still a firm supporter of Trump) wouldn’t allow my 13yo son to watch football this past weekend because he’s boycotting the whole NFL in protest. Yet he just a few months ago testified that our son should have more independence and privacy. But he can’t decide for himself to watch a GD football game? He’s a giant hypocrite anyway, my kid has no privacy ... his father tracks his every movement on his phone, even when he’s with me (most of the time). I don’t even know how to co-parent with someone like that. But yeah, stay out of politics on FB, because it’s really a kick in the gut when you discover the people you love are blindly supporting the cray that is this administration.

Love Al. He is local and we appealed to him to rush my grandpa's POW medal since he was on hospice.
