    Sadly, the Patriot Act does supercede and take away rights granted in the US Constitution/Bill of Rights.

    Specifically, the 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th ammendment....which is the reason many of us vehemently oppose it. It takes away elements of our liberty and privacy.
