Is that right, woman."If I come as an immigrant, you have the obligation to make me a citizen," Onyango said.
Citizenship is a PRIVILEGE not a right.
President Obama's Kenyan aunt says her nephew didn't pull any strings to help her stay in the U.S.
"Don't drag my child into this," Zeituni Onyango said in her first interview since she was granted asylum in May, apparently referring to Obama.
Onyango, who lives in public housing and collects a $700 monthly disability check, also insisted "the system" took advantage of her.
"I didn't take advantage of the system, the system took advantage of me" she said.
In the first of a two-part interview with WBZ-TV in Boston, Onyango said she never intended to stay when she arrived in the U.S. in 2000.
Onyango, 58, said she contracted an auto-immune syndrome called Giullain-Barre and couldn't afford to fly home to Kenya. She said she endured two years in a homeless shelter before landing in a Boston public housing project.
"I didn't ask for it, they gave it to me," she said. "Ask your system. I didn't create it or vote for it. Go and ask your system."
Onyango, who admits she overstayed her visa, was denied asylum the first time she applied in 2004.
The same judge reversed himself in May and allowed Onyango to stay after her lawyer argued that she faced discrimination in Kenya as a member of the minority Luo tribe.
"If I come as an immigrant, you have the obligation to make me a citizen," Onyango said.
Asked how she was able to afford an immigration lawyer, Onyango credited a higher power.
"When you believe in Jesus Christ and Almighty God, my help comes from heaven," she said. (jesus pays for lawyers? that's awsome)
Onyango is the half-sister of Obama's late father, also named Barack, who abandoned the future president as a toddler and saw him only once after that.
Obama said he had no idea the woman he calls "Auntie Zeituni" was here illegally when it was first reported in 2008.
"If she has violated laws, then those laws have to be obeyed," the then presidential candidate told CBS at the time. "We are a nation of laws."
Onyango later attended Obama's presidential inauguration

typical of the prick in power... contradictions, lies and bullshit.
You, sir, are an intellectual lightweight, a coward, and a chauvinist pig. Do I make myself clear?

I will gladly pay for your flight back, bitch.
Don't forget to smile! DonDd
what does inviting a relative to the inauguration have to do with immigration laws and someone's immigration status? is inviting someone to an event the same thing as pulling strings for them? how do you make that connection?
also, consider the source. the new york daily news specialises in sensationalist news with a populist slant. you know, another foreigner abusing their rights and draining the US economy!
everyone has 'embarrassing' relatives. remember bill clinton's brother?

^ That's the NY Post with the populist slant (it's a Murdoch paper), not the Daily News.
On the topic of embarrassing presidential relatives I'm old enough to remember Billy Carter and Ted Kennedy.

oops, my bad. it's still kind of tabloidy and sensationalistic though.

You've got a point, it ain't the New York Times![]()

Its a case of saying one thing and doing another. Which is pretty much par for the course with Obama. Don't say "if she broke the law, she needs to hit the fucking road" and then invite the bitch to the inauguration and flaunt the fact in front of the people who elected you. mkay? that's all.

I'm still dying to know how she got Jesus to pay for an immigration lawyer.

When Jesus and I hang out he doesn't pick up the bill for anything. Cheap bastard.
