Default Sarah Palin claims her Down's baby will have to stand in front of Obama "Death Panel"

This is not a joke. I repeat, this is not a joke.

I had to click around quite a bit to make sure this was the real Sarah Palin on Facebook. It is. It’s the one with over 600,000 followers.

    I am speechless.

"As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.

We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late."

    - Sarah Palin

Rep. Bachmann’s speech can be viewed here:

    Obama’s Death Panel?

    Downright Evil?

    Praising Michele Bachmann?

I think Sarah Palin has just stuck her flag in the sand on a very scary beach. I guess this is what her “less PC” online messages look like.

They really are trying to incite people towards violence. It'll probably get worse before it gets better.

    Palin's usual bullshit. Nothing new.

The sad part is people really believe this crap. I just found out today that one of my best friends, a white guy that's a cop, not only believes that Obama is going to destroy healthcare with 'socialism,' but he's a birther, too. We had a nice argument/debate about Obama being a Muslim, an American & how the cops were right to arrest Gates.

I think something Very Bad is going to happen. Too many guns and crazies out there. She'll be leading the charge to gun down the non-American Americans with her pit bull teeth bared.

I hope if something violent does happen some nut shoots her instead. There should be something done about the lies, and hatred that she is dishing out. Someone needs to say enough is enough, bitch. Someone really needs to come out and say something ABOUT her, a republican in particular.

Well, I have to say that the level of xenophobic and hateful email I've gotten from people in my email has quadrupled in the last days - people I've known for ages are starting to show their true colors now. What I don't get is the level of HATRED towards Obama out there, something much deeper is going on. Its not a hatred even towards his politics, people actually are threatened by him. You would think he was standing in front of them strangling their baby with the way these people are responding, like angry pitbulls on a leash. I've seen a huge increase in people using racist terms, hatred towards anyone "different", etc. It makes me so freaking angry to watch those town hall meetings where these ignorant assholes are disrupting the whole thing and not allowing anyone to talk. This was supposed to be informative, not a place where people can just scream and start violence and yell over everyone so no one gets a chance to be heard.

Yes, things are getting much much worse, and I blame many of these conservatives in positions of power. I do give kudos to John McCain, who came out and said that these town hall meetings were not conducive and that people need to stop yelling and being violent - but he's the only prominent Republican I've heard thats come out and spoke against it. Thats pretty damn sad. I'm speaking as an Independent here - do you think any of these good Republicans are ashamed of their party right now? I sure as hell hope some of them are seeing a huge segment of their party for what they are - xenophobic, racist, and hateful.

As long as she's being protected by her handmaidens, Limpballs and Beck, nobody will be able to touch her. She's insanely popular with the craziest of the crazies. We may say it's only an insignificant percentage of the population (15 to 25%?), but it only takes a handful of them to cause some major damage. Look how much hate Gingrich and Limpballs stirred up. The Dittoheads are moving from being annoying, loud-mouthed, small-minded yokels to being frothing-at-the mouth, insane, gun-waving, brain-damaged semi-retards who swallow propaganda like fucking beer.

I don't want her to become a martyr. The odds of someone shooting her ain't gonna happen 'cause the crazies are all on her side.

I swear the GOP is turning into the American version of the British National Party.

Obama was the tipping point for the racists. They see 'their America' changing, meaning minorities are increasing in numbers and the balance of power is being shared, and they see it as a threat to their very existence. Plus, Obama doesn't fit into their typical stereotype of a black man, so they don't know how to deal with him.

Until Obama was elected the presidency was the last bastion of what the racists deemed 'white America.' Once he was elected the racists felt like their very existence was being challenged and that the 'evil minorities' are finally taking over the country. So, the racists feel as if they can let their racism fly without any punishment. They think that they can turn the hands of Time back to the Jim Crow days, but what they forget is that time only moves forward, not backwards.

Time may move forward, but that doesn't mean that it always progresses in a positive, more enlightened fashion. A new Dark Age is upon us, and the Hounds of Hell are yapping at our heels. Thank you, John McCain!

At times of great social change/upheaval people always fight the hardest against it. But I don't think McCain can take all of the blame. This hate was already there, but Palin and the GOP have just tapped into it and are exploiting it.

I think the more desperate, spiteful Republicans know exactly what they're doing by tapping into the racism we saw during the campaign rally days last fall... the Republicans realize that now their worst fears have come true: Obama was successfully elected and took on the task of fixing a mess they contributed to.. and the citizens that are responding to it with such fervor are probably disgusted at the idea of having a "socialist" black in the White House. Both groups benefit from creating these stupid, radical situations... the Republicans can unleash their pitbull supporters are say, "hey, not my fault" when it goes over the line and the citizens can express their racism through their extreme opposition to Obama's proposals. It's the Republican policy of "be an asshole until you get what you want" permeating society on a smaller level. Street conservatism... putting the job of fighting dirty into the hands of the fundies and racists.

Sarah is a good example of these spiteful Republicans... she has the sheeple to carry out her work and the support of fellow crazy politicians. Using her disabled kid as a pawn in this stupid revenge game is so fucked up.

*obviously does not apply to all Republicans opposed to these policies.
