Default Jenna and Barbara Bush were 'Secret Service nightmare', claims US book

President George W. Bush's twin daughters were a Secret Service nightmare, a new book claims.
Jenna and Barbara Bush would pull every trick imaginable to lose their security detail it has been claimed.
'Jenna would purposely try to lose her protection by going through red lights or by jumping in her car without telling agents where she was going,' author Ronald Kessler writes in 'In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes With Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect.'

Double trouble: Twins Jenna and Barbara Bush reportedly gave Secret Service a hard time during their father's time in the White House

Kessler also claims that after a 2005 Halloween party, Jenna's now husband Henry Hager was so drunk the Secret Service had to take him to Georgetown University Hospital.
And he alleges that the Secret Service had to step in a break up a bar fight that Hager got embroiled in.
Laura Bush's press secretary described the claims as 'nonsense.'
The twins recently sent a letter to Malia and Sasha Obama, offer advice on how to live in the 'magical' White House.
In an open letter to the Obama children, Barbara and Jenna, both 27, told the girls it was their turn 'to fill the house with laughter' and that they should 'go to anything and everything you possibly can'.
'Just go,' they wrote. 'Four years goes by so fast, so absorb it all, just enjoy it all! Have fun and enjoy your childhood in what is such a magical place to live and play.'

The twins, pictured with their parents George and Laura in 2004, were involved in several drink-related incidents

Describing their favourite memories of their father's eight years in office, the pair said: 'We were constantly inspired by the amazing people we met, politicians and great philosophers such as Vaclav Havel.
'We dined with royalty, heads of states, authors and activists. We even met the Queen of England.'
And they gave tips on which aide ten-year-old Malia and Sasha, seven, should turn to if they were upset or to chat about sport.

'If you ever need a hug, go and find Ramsey,' they wrote. 'If you want to talk football, look for Buddy. And, if you just need a smile, look for 'Smiley.'

The Secret Service reportedly had to step in a break up a bar fight that Jenna's hudband Henry Hager, left, got embroiled in

In addition to their more playful suggestions - including sliding down the banister of the White House's solarium or 'trick-or-treating down the plane aisle' if travelling on Halloween - the twins were also quick to offer some more sobering advice.
No doubt they would have made no mention of the police investigation for trying to buy alcohol with someone else's identification card in 2001 - the third drink-related incident during her father's time in office.

    Jenna's husband is fug.

Plus, I will say I worked in a boutique in the DC area for a couple of years while their father was present. They were both polite, normal shoppers, and there were no Secret Service with them either time.

these girls were so not wild. every college kid has drink related incidents (at least any I'd want to know)....

Fake ID, drinking in bars, ditching authority figures to get some freedom, etc was the norm for most of people I knew at that age

My aunt worked for the Secret Service for 35 years until she retired. I really want her to write a memoir about it too.

My father's cousin (my second cousin right?) was a mountie and one of Trudeau's bodyguards. I'd love to hear the stories he has to tell.
