Bill is right on as usual. Obama and his team have been WAY too cautious about trying to get things passed.

I saw this the other night and Bill's right. Obama needs to take the bull by the horns and push some of the major policies through, even if he has to browbeat some of the Dems to do it.

Scathing, but true. My family and I have thought for a long time now that
Obama was seriously running a risk at being over-exposed. You don't need
to announce every breath you take in de media. It also makes it appear as
if he's holding more posts than just the one of President, like his administration
has some empty seats left that he's filling up himself. Too bad.

But wasn't that Bush's tone? And he was universally loathed for it.

If the media and Republicans decides to focus on the littlest things he does; like the mustard on his burger or when he takes his wife on a date, its on them.

He's having to juggle more balls early in his term than has any recent President. The juggling act is necessary in large part because of the serious messes that we are in and the complete failures of the previous administration.

Hey, I voted for the guy! You can't blame everything on the repugs or media.
Like Maher said: the people like you already, now don't have a news moment
on every single thing you do, great as it may be.

Bill touched on this again in his show Friday, but he focused on the Dems being the new Republicans and the GOP just being crazy.

Bill also had Meghan McCain on his show Friday, and she really is a brat.

She started whining about how she was tired of Obama saying that he inherited a mess from Bush. And then Paul Begalia said he didn't think Obama was pointing it out enough about inheriting the mess from Bush. He started to say how Reagan used to blame Carter and Meghan chimes in with "I wasn't born yet, so I don't know anything about that." So, Begalia snaps back 'Well, I wasn't born during the French Revolution but I know about that.' The look on Meghan's face was priceless.
