'Jersey Shore' -- MTV Tries to Divide and Conquer

The stars of "Jersey Shore" have been negotiating with MTV like "Friends"... but the network could be turning them into enemies with some serious brinkmanship.

Sources tell TMZ the network has told the cast if they don't accept MTV's deal by the end of business Monday, they will be replaced. And, MTV has told them it does not have to be a package deal -- the cast members who accept the offer will stay ... those who do not can have a nice life.

As we first reported, MTV offered each cast member a $10,000 signing bonus and $5,000 per episode. We're told the cast rejected the offer and made it clear they would all stand together and hold out for their price, though they didn't say what it was.

MTV made a new offer of $10,000 an episode -- there are 12 episodes in the new season -- but so far the cast hasn't responded.

We're told MTV already has replacements if Snooki, Pauly D, The Situation and the others don't accept the offer on Monday. But, we're told, MTV is happy to mix and match if some of the cast accepts the offer and other don't.

As for who's being the most hard-headed in the negotiations -- The Situation and Pauly D.

mtv is stupid. i knew the one good thing they've produced in the last 10 years would be destroyed!

fucking unbelievable.

and no im not exagerrating. the last good thing to come out of mtv was the Osbourne show. MTV is a joke. what NBC is quickly becoming.

OK! I confess! They were very interesting and funny to watch.

Even when other people tried to make parodies of them they fell short. The real people are f--king hilarious.

At first I hated "The Situation", then over time, I realized HE REALLY THINKS HE'S ALL THAT!",

Man, they should take what they can get and then ask for more later on. 10 grand an ep, to party and get into fights? Or are they saying this is really scripted and these guys are wannabe actors?

They're making a pretty penny doing appearances now with The Situation, JWoww and Pauly D making up to $7,500 for one, so I can see them asking for more. Frankly they deserve it cause they are all kinds of awesome... Although I agree this is a probably a publicity ploy for both sides.

On another note, did anyone else think Sammi was guilty of something more than being chummy with Mike? She looked guilty from the moment the show started...and she seemed relieved when the clip aired (like it was not that bad). I honestly can't understand how anyone would want to date her, she is beyond annoying. After the first week, she gets clingy and moody! Total nightmare.

(Fox News) – It's a match made at MTV.

"Jersey Shore" star Pauly D, aka Paul Delvecchio, is dating "Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham, a source told Fox411.com Friday.

Pauly, who canoodled with well-endowed JWOWW on the show, was deejaying at a club in Houston, Texas recently with Abraham at his side.

Pauly reportedly charges upward of $7,000 per gig. Abraham hails from Iowa.

The 18 year-old single mom was recently in the news when her mother, Debra Danielson, was arrested for allegedly choking and hitting her.
