this. he's probably too normal. he doesn't seem to be completely shit-faced during the show... I like Pauly too but... he never seemed to be involved in all the dramatic bullshit that went on on JS. I don't think his show can make it...

Jersey Shore's Pauly D Debuts Beefed-Up Look

Looks like Pauly D may have upset the delicate GTL balance.

During an appearance at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas this past weekend, the Jersey Shore star (real name: Paul DelVecchio) stepped out looking noticeably bigger.

A source close to the DJ tells Us Weekly DelVecchio, 31, has put on some weight recently--but only because he's been logging extra hours at the gym.

"He's gained 20 pounds of muscle," the insider shares. "He is [exercising] nonstop . . .three times a day sometimes."

Between his ramped-up workouts and his DJ gigs, DelVecchio has plenty to keep him busy these days. The Rhode Island native is also currently appearing in a Jersey Shore spinoff--The Pauly D Project--with his close friends Ryan Labbe, Gerard "Big Gerry" Gialanella, Jason "J-Rock" Craig and Michael "DJ Biggie" Morgan.

"The whole world, they know me from Jersey Shore. They know I can party in Jersey with some strangers that become my friends, but now with my show, you get to see where I came from, you get to meet my family, my friends, and see what it's like on a daily basis being a touring DJ," DelVecchio told Us last month about how his new series compares to the show that launched him to stardom.

Added his pal Craig, "It's kind of like the pros. . . Seaside's like Little League."

Jersey Shore's Deena Cortese was arrested on June 10 for public intoxication, and based on her mugshot, the incident was clearly nothing to smile over.

While making her rounds on the Seaside Heights boardwalk (where she and her seven housemates are filming the latest season of their rambunctious MTV reality show) police officers noticed Cortese looking "a little intoxicated" -- even gesturing oddly at cars passing by.

"Nothing major, but we can't put up with it," police chief Tommy Boyd told NBC 4 New York.

After being booked by Seaside Heights police and served with a summons and released, with no bail required, the 25-year-old was seen being escorted out of jail by her parents later that afternoon.

Meanwhile, Cortese's housemates Jenni "Jwoww" Farley, Pauly Delvecchio, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, who were involved in a "massive bar brawl" on June 8.

A source told Us Weekly of the ordeal: "These drunk guys saw the cameras and started taunting the girls. Then, they started bothering Ronnie, Vinny [Guadagnino], The Sitch, and Pauly."

Jersey Shore Canceled After Six Seasons

It's the end of the first-pumping era.

Almost three years after the world was introduced to Guidos and grenades, MTV will air the premiere of Jersey Shore's final season on Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. ET, the network announced in a statement on Thursday.

On Sept. 6, the network will air a special called Gym, Tan, Look Back, airing at 6 p.m. ET, where the cast will reflect on prior seasons and a sneak peak will be shown of what's to come in the final one.

Although the reality show is MTV's highest rated series in its history, once the program's biggest star, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, 24, got pregnant, a rep for the network said they were unsure about even a sixth season.

But this isn't the end of the TV road for all of the cast mates. Polizzi – who gave birth to son Lorenzo on Sunday – and her Shore bestie, Jennifer "JWoww" Farley's spinoff Snooki & JWOWW has been picked up for a second season, while Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio's The Pauly D Project still awaits its season two fate.

The Shore gang's final season takes place in Seaside Heights, N.J., where it all began.
