Never, that's a first thing I ever heard someone say about that movie. Omg, that was the movie of 97'. Every other day, if it was Celine opening her mouth about how her heart would go on or documentaries from sun up to sun down. But I have to admit, it's a beautiful cult classic.

I just watched The Skeleton Key last night. I enjoyed it and it had a crazy little twist at the end I wasn't expecting!

OMG!!!^^^^ I was just getting on here to say that!!! That movie was awesome. I want to see it again, maybe even buy it. And I despise scary movies. This one had a really great story and twist, I thought.

ETA: Although...I did hide my eyes a few times....

^^I hid my eyes too a couple times when the 'scary music' came on. The ending caught me totally off guard and left me thinking which is always good.

^^Yeah, I know, it left me thinking, too. Even the next day, I kept recalling scenes, since I knew the twist. That's why I want to see it again. Kinda like 6th Sense...I HAD to see it again after knowing the twist!

something about this movie sort of bugged me and i can't quite put my finger on it. there's something sort of self-conscious about it that kind of reminded me of soderbergh. i hate soderbergh, and there were moments in 'crash' that reminded me of the shitty 'traffic', a bit show-offy and gimmicky.

watched pink flamingos again recently after a friend gave me the dvd. so trashy and funny
Just saw crash last night. I hated it. The thing that bothered me about it is that it was trying so hard to be insightful and intelligent, but it didn't give us any new information. Big deal, people of all races can be assholes to other races. We know that. It came off sounding like some bloated, preachy drunk uncle that won't shut up at the dinner table.

Yeah---I didn't really know what to think about this movie. What I do know is that I LOVED the scene where the little girl dove in front of her father to save him because she had on the 'invisible cloak' he'd given her earlier. I thought that scene was very touching.

That was sweet. I found it odd that the only race that was not depicted as "bad" was Latin American, ie the lock guy and Sandra Bullock's maid.

I saw Shopgirl with Claire Danes, and Steve Martin. I'm not a fan of Claire Danes, but I was impressed with her performance. It was a decent movie.

And I also saw HP:Goblet Of Fire. I really enjoyed this movie.

i'm glad there's a few other crash-haters out there... it's one of those movies that everyone loves and i hate being the lone voice of dissent... same thing happened to me with the craptastic 'chocolat' and 'big fish'...
