We're supposed to root for the robot, I think but that short bitch Alicia Vikander plays her and I would never root for her in anything, I seriously hate her guts. I hate her. Doesn't help that she's with my Fassy (Michael Fassbender, what on earth do you see in her, Michael? Why must you hurt me so?). Die bitch. DIEEEE. Seriously, the film was pretty interesting and had some cool twists and turns. And Domhall Gleeson was a revelation, I'd love to see him in more films. Really talented guy. Oscar Isaac was also in it and I'm sort of iffy on him but he was good.
I really liked this movie. And yes, Domhnall Gleeson was awesome.

I have to admit, I still watch this remake whenever it comes on. Great special effects. And then Emmy Rossum (great natural effect). Plus Kevin Dillon getting his just desserts in spectacular fashion.

ETA - the original Poseidon comes on all the time, too. Trivia question - who was the Captain of the original Poseidon? Answer: Leslie Nielsen

I saw three movies last week -- Rolling Stones Ole Ole Ole, Rogue One and Home Alone. I enjoyed all three but I think I caught this cold at Rogue One.

    Manchester by the Sea.

Hated it and that's saying a lot because I'm usually a sucker for unusual movies. The main character has zero redeeming qualities and the whole thing sucked my soul.

I'm a true crime junkie and was scrolling through an unsolved mysteries board and came upon the Diane Schuler incident (aka Taconic State Parkway crash). I don't know how I missed it but HBO made a documentary called "There's Something Wrong With Aunt Diane". It was extremely hard to watch and I cried multiple times, but HBO sure knows how to make a documentary. I'm not sure this should be considered an unsolved mystery since there were conclusive findings, but it is rather mysterious that someone who doesn't drink very much was able to drink SO much and smoke so much pot in the span of about 45 minutes that she didn't notice she was going down a huge highway the wrong way.

The part with Peter Dinklage cracks me up every time.

That part is the funniest part of the whole movie I think.

    Flashdance

I was feeling miserable since my last pay was zilch and my next is stuck in mail limbo which means no christmas or food for my kids and I had songs from this movie running thru my head so I popped the dvd in, holed up in bed and watched. Felt a zillion times better by the end. Oh what a feeling

    Love, Actually.

Don't know how many times I've watched this but I love this flick for a feel good rom com that's funny. "Ten minutes of Elton John and you're as gay as a maypole..."

    Fight Club.
We had never seen it before & caught it on TV.

I thought it started out interesting but strange, then got more strange, then got just plain stupid. We both hated it.

Awful movie with great cinematography. I'll give it that.
