That was the whole point of the movie to me! What scares us the most is what we conjure up in our own minds. That movie was great!

Nine Months. Not the best movie, but I still find it to be funny.

What's spit? Mainly WATER. And so we have aliens, aliens that you can spit on to get rid of.
DIXIE. You owe me a keyboard. This one has my drink laughed out on it. This visual is as good as your taser as cell image.

In the movie, I loved when Mel comes home and his family are all wearing tin-foil hats.

I used to think that Joaquim was hot until a friend met him here in a bar, and he was wearing a faux gas station attendant shirt complete with a name tag thingie. Petty, I know, but that killed something for me.

We watched two movies yesterday, it was our lazy day together. We watched Waitress, which I expected much more from. It was good but it didn't live up to the hype for me. It started off pretty slowly and got better though. Adrienne Shelly was absolutely amazing though, it really is a great testament that it is her legacy now. It was cute, and I don't want to put people off seeing it - I think it was just built up in my head so much that it didn't live up to my expectations. Husband didn't like it, though, I think he started napping around fifty minutes in. Then we watched The Kingdom, which was great, it was so much better than what I anticipated! I disliked the casting immensely, but the movie was really really good, my husband loved it as well. Great action, great story...it really sucks you in, I felt myself feeling hopeless and angry and frustrated at times. Very good, I would highly recommend it to others.

^^^ I thought Waitress was really cute. Like you said, not as good as I expected, but I enjoyed it. I loved the ending. I read that was Adrienne Shelly's little girl. May Adrienne Shelly RIP

Yeah, it was cute, but the ending broke my heart because I knew that was Adrienne's real daughter, when she waves at her and the other waitress at the end and says goodbye in her cute little girl voice, I got a little choked up. It actually got much better after she met the doctor, I enjoyed it from that point in. Adrienne Shelly was so cute in her role as well, she really was so sweet. Its such a shame.

She was really cute. I didn't know anything about Adrienne til after I saw the movie and looked it up on IMDB.

I loved the doctor in there and would've left my husband in a heartbeat if he acted like hers on there.

I thought Waitress was good. I got it for free on a plane trip and wasn't expecting much. I liked it though.

Was it? I want to see it but it sounds very chick flick-y to me. Tell me it's not and I will go!

^^no, it's definitely not a typical corny love story. not chick flicky at all and the direction is soo beautiful. its just one of those movies that deals with i guess real human emotion and the human condition as opposed to some idealized way love or reality should be. very profound. and the ending is very good as well.

The Illusionist. I rather enjoyed it-no surprise, given that it was starring Edward Norton. I saw the 'twist' coming a mile away, but it was nevertheless very entertaining and successful in creating an atmosphere, both in terms of the period and the feel of magic.
