He is funny. We watched Nacho Libre again this weekend and died laughing. Jack Black is funny to me.

    We watched:

Balls of Fury - Watched it hoping it would be funnier the 2nd times around....it wasn't.

Kingdom - Talking about a boring ass movie with an annoying as actor. (Jamie Foxx, I can't stand him or his curled up teeth)

Rendition. The first movie to bring tears to my eyes in a long time, maybe because it hit a little too close to home. Fantastic movie, stellar cast (with the exception of Reese, she brought little to her role). Talk about your worst nightmare. Meryl Streep, of course, was also brilliant. I'm not sure why this movie didn't do better at the box office, although thats never an indicator of a good movie anyway. I think it didn't do well because of its political undertones (as I read one moviegoer say, "it was too liberal in its message") but thats absolute bullshit. It really walks a fine line and makes you think, it doesn't forcefeed a message down your throat if you go into it with an open mind.

Not sure why. Katie Holmes is an awful actress, dear God!
Yeah, Katie Holmes was the one real problem with Batman Begins. Thankfully, she won't be back for the sequel.

At home - Lost highway : I honestly did not "get" this movie. Was there anything to get? It was interesting to watch though and the mystery guy was really creepy.

At the cinema - Control : I liked it a lot . I particularly liked Sam Riley's portrayal of Curtis, he has very expressive eyes. I also thought it was a good decision that the movie was in black and white, it added to the atmosphere. I'm so happy that this one did not disappoint me.

Harrison's Flowers. It's really not a very good movie, but the scenes of carnage in Vukovar and leading up to the massacre there are absolutely breathtakingly horrible and sad. And I'm a sucker for any movie about journalists anyway.

Eastern Promises. Viggo Mortensen's hotness in that film was off the charts. Vincent Cassel also did a terrific job. Naomi Watts didn't really work for me that much, there was something off about her face in some of the scenes. I really hope there is a sequel to this story, when the movie ended I totally wanted more.

^ If you have the opportunity try to watch Control on the big screen. The concert scenes are better that way, especially with the cinema sound system.

I liked Eastern Promises too, Viggo Mortensen gave a good performance and he is quite attractive too. And to me there is always something off about Naomi Watts' face. She looks like she is hiding stuff in her cheeks or something.

I can't wait to see this movie, I have it in my queue. Hopefully I'll get to it this weekend.

We watched War yesterday. Meh. I actually thought about turning it off the first thirty minutes but I'm glad I didn't, it really picked up the second half. That being said, the ending was awful, one of the most anticlimactic endings ever after such a build up. My husband looked at me like, "was that it?" The action was good, the movie really wasn't that bad either, especially after it picked up. I actually guessed the first twist pretty soon into the movie, although the second twist took me a bit off-guard. I guess I just expected so much more out of Jason Statham. I love the Transporter movies, Snatch, and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. I even liked London. But this movie was a disappointment in some ways.

Turns out she was pregnant in this movie so that might explain the chipmunk look. Anyway, it distracted and I think I would have preferred a different actress.

Naomi Watts is kind of enigma. At times I find her to be fantastically suited to roles, she was amazing in Mulholland Dr. and 21 Grams, but other times she just annoys the hell out of me, like in King Kong. She's going to be in the upcoming Angels and Demons movie. I wonder how that will turn out, thats a much better book than The Davinci Code, but I think they'll ruin it.

3:10 to Yuma - I liked it but I like a good Western anyway. I normally can't watch Christian Bale because his teeth/mouth area is so annoying but I made it through it. I LOVED Ben Foster in the movie, he did a good job. Russell Crowe was fairly good too, he sure could shoot.

Saw 4 - I thought it was really good. It had more of a storyline than the last ones.

Watched Juno the other day. Loved it. Last night I watched Stardust, which did a much better job than I thought it would (it's based on a book). Michelle Pfeiffer's accent was lazy, and I'm not a big Claire Danes fan, but I actually loved Tristan and Robert De Niro's character was awesome.

I liked 'Sunshine', at least until it turned into 'Event Horizon'... not an action movie by a long shot, more of a slow burn film. Still good though.. they just didn't need Mr. Crispy in it.
