Saving Mr. Banks. It was interesting to see a glimpse into Disney and behind the scenes. That Mrs. Travers sure was a pain in the ass, but I did enjoy the story. Such an innocent and simpler time it was back then.

We've watched all of the Star Wars movies (again!) because my kids are seeing them for the first time. I've seen the original trilogy a hundred times but have only seen the newer episodes once or twice. People are up in arms about Jar Jar but, my gosh, Hayden Christenson was horrid. The love story writing/dialogue was laughable as well. It was a good reminder why I haven't seen them over and over. Episode 3 is really much more violent than I remembered so we told the kids they can't watch that one. They got the synopsis from us though so they can continue with the rest of the story.

Funny enough, a friend of mine is a writer and Star Wars fanatic. He wrote a big article on the proper order to view the films. We went with his suggestion.... III, IV, I, II, III, and VI. (I realize this will only make sense to Mo and GC.)

Sorry for the double post, I'm unable to edit. Saw the Amazing Spider-Man 2 last night. Loved it.

GC, we let ours watch all but episode III. We just filled them in on that story. Since then, every sentence out of their mouths has something to do with Star Wars. Hope he loves them as much!

Drowning Mona - I forget how funny this movie is. Bette Midler is the shit. I love her.

Enough Said. Loved Gandolfini, but JLD's grimacing was annoying.

FWIW, Mr. Cornflake saw Spiderman 2 and said it was the best comic book movie yet. Keep in mind he's a total comic book nerd and says this after every new comic book movie.

    I saw Don Jon

Jospeh and Scarlett are both hot, but the movie left me feeling underwhelmed.

Watched Sharknado last night. I know it wasn't suppose to be a comedy, but I lmao for most of the damn movie. Such cheesy acting and one liners in it,...it was a fun 90 minutes.

I also watched American Hustle, as well. It was an okay movie. I guess I didn't get all the hype over it.

And then I watched The Big Wedding. It had some funny parts in it and I enjoy most anything Robert De Niro is in. Family dysfunction at its best,...got to love it!! lol

Blue Jasmine Cate Blanchett was great, but the movie was pretty pointless and depressing.

Ghostbusters - has not aged well at ALL!! And Ernie Hudson's character was underused - totally wasted a talented brother, as a lot of Tinseltown movies do. It's like they just wanted him around to respond to Ackroyd, Ramis and Murray. And the film morphed from a ghost movie into silly sci-fi.

Miami Rhapsody - much better than what I remembered. SJP was kind of cute. Naomi Campbell was gorgeous, but she's NO ACTRESS. But it was rather entertaining.

Stella Dallas - quite apropos for Mother's Day, yes? Stanwyck is a bit wooden in some of the earlier scenes, but the she picks up the role and runs with it. And any inconsistencies with her performance or the film in general are totally worth it for that final scene when she watches her daughter get married.

About Last Night - it was alright but like so many other chick flicks.

Frozen - never saw the ending so obviously had to watch the whole thing again lol

Last Ride - funny .... At times. I reached for my phone a few times.
